I do not sue cumin very often but when I do I really want a good seed . This brand is wonderful . It’s a first time order and I used it for a squash soup and also a black bean soup . It is delish out and a good price and a nice seed. Don’t hesitate to order . I vac seal the extra and freeze till needed . Meantime my slice rack holds what I may use . It’s so much cheaper to order this way instead of grocery store prices . And this product is very fresh and smelled wonderful upon arrival .

Good quality with great aroma, just wish the packaging was more eco friendly.

If you can invest in a cheap center-blade-style coffee grinder - one you won't be needing for coffee, and you really should - you can grind your own spices with the added bonus of the seeds, pods, pepperberries, etc. staying much more fresh until you need them. Lately I've been working off the dregs of a not-very-old jar of Badia pre-ground cumin, and I mean it was...fine...but grinding your own releases volitile oils that you can get into the food before it's had time to dissapate and so on, and it's a world of difference for flavor. On top of whole spices just being better, this Spice Way cumin has a very heady aroma fresh ground and I can tell that at least my particular bag has not been sitting on a shelf forever. So good for hummus and shawarma, which everyone should make, because it's not hard, and it's healthy! Or go Mexican, or Indian... If you have a wisely and well-loaded spice drawer (okay I have more than one), you can go 10 different ways cuisine-wise for dinner with the same main ingredients. That's magic. Friends don't let friends buy pre-ground!

Great deal on fresh cumin seeds. These came in a nice Mylar bag which keeps some very fresh over a longer period of time which I appreciate. I tend to use these up more quickly so I buy in bulk and I was pleased with the amount for this product and their freshness. They have a nice aroma and sweet layers of taste as a fresh seed. Should there are also a really nice color, very strong and flavor just as they should be with lots of sweetness and the characteristics you’d want. Great value for the money.
