E-reader or a tablet.
I found this color e-reader interesting mainly because it was unusual to see e-ink in a color version. That alone made it stand out to me, and I was genuinely curious to try it. The device itself left a positive first impression, and I liked the idea of having a color e-reader instead of the usual black-and-white one. That said, after using it, I realized that I personally still prefer a regular monochrome e-reader for most reading. The color was nice to have in theory, but in practice I felt that it was not enough to make a big difference for me. Maybe I just got used to traditional e-ink, but since I do not read comics, I did not find a strong advantage in the color display for my own use. I have also ordered devices from other brands before, and my conclusion is the same: for comic books, I still feel that a normal tablet with an OLED screen is the better option. It gives a much more vivid and satisfying color experience, which matters a lot more for that type of content. Because of that, I would not recommend this technology as a great solution for comics. To be clear, this is not a criticism of the brand or the specific model itself. My opinion is about the color e-ink technology in general. It is an interesting concept and a nice step forward, but for my needs it does not fully replace either a traditional e-reader or a tablet

Defective screen
Screen was defective - came with a vertical line through it. Had to return it. Played with it for a bit before I did and it’s still not for me. There’s just so much ghosting. Font isn’t as crisp as on my kindle. And then kindle app is pretty buggy. Really wanted to love it because of the turn page buttons - but I don’t.

Nice eReader with android OS
I started with a boox leaf2 and mostly hated it. It was the perfect size and weight with a crisp clear screen but it was so slow that I never wanted to use it. It would also randomly switch back to the home screen for no reason and lock up or close an app as I was reading. I upgraded to the Go 7 color and am very happy. I mostly read novels so I could have gone with black and white but I like the colors. They are muted but I didn't expect bright vivid tones. It's not as fast as a typical tablet but that is the nature of eink. I can read it outside with no glare, which is why I wanted it. It is the same size and weight as the the leaf2 so it's the perfect size to hold with one hand. The buttons work to turn pages on most apps, but I can't get them to work on the kindle app. I don't like that it didn't come with a case or a stylus or that it takes a specific stylus which is currently out of stock and there's no information on when it will be available. I am interested in taking notes but until they bring back the stylus I can't try that. Google play comes installed, a definite upgrade from having to install it on the leaf2. Kindle, libby, audible, libro.fm, bookshop.Org, everand and play books all installed and worked correctly immediately.

Love it!
Love it! Takes a minute to set everything according to your exact preference but once you do, it’s a dream! Ive had mine for almost 4 months and I can’t live without it. I especially love that I’m not bound to any ecosystem. And! I can write in my PDFs with my stylus (can only do notes without one). Love the buttons, love the size, love the customization- love love love it. Wish it had better battery life but it’s still really good. Have to charge every 3-4 days w all day use, but it’s fine. Charges super fast and you can use it while it’s charging, tho I’ve never done that. Anyhow, I recommend it! 10 out of 10.

One of the best ereaders out there if you know android
So far so good not run into any issues people on the low end of reviews ran into. have a very very large library and no crashing, as for other things seems to be for those that are familiar with android. Being able to have my bookwalk and kindle app has been great, the battery drain seems a bit worse than a kindle much worse if you keep wifi or bluetooth on hate to see it if both were active. also up to 1tb sdcard a hoarders dream. as an ereader it is great prefer it over my kindle any day!

Not good
Wanted to like the Boox. It's really nice quality and easy to hold. But it constantly freezes up and randomly reboots on its own in the middle of reading a book. So it's being returned.

Nice ebook reader but doesn’t work well with a large library
It had a good feel to it for an ebook reader. The standard ebook app was nice except it kept crashing if the listings show more than about 3 books. I even download another ebook app that I use and it couldn’t work correctly on this item. Returned and bought another product

Poor writing, great ereader
I have to review this if it were two different devices. First as a note taker, and something you can write on. It is unusable for this purpose. If you are considering this device for that use case, find something else. It was the main reason I purchased this, so I am disappointed. As an ereader, its great. If you are looking for a ereader that is a bit more flexible then the average, you will like this one.
