Almay Smart Shade CC Luminous Primer, 1 Fl Oz, Clear

I love this primer! First off my skin is sensitive and leans towards oil/normal. I work 12hr shifts and typically after 4-5hrs the make up on my nose is breaking up, rubbed off, etc. Part of it might be that is it is a water based primer. I didn’t realize the primer ( not water based) I used to use with my makeup ( which is water based) were fighting each other. With that being said, I’ve used this now for a couple of months and every time I am happy with how my makeup applies, looks and stays. I worked 12hrs and my makeup was still going strong! It says it’s a luminous primer. I find it’s not really shimmery, which is fine by me. At most it’s slightly pearlescent. It does color correct and adapt to your skin color. I deal with redness sometimes with my skin sensitivity. This works so well to conceal it. I’ve got a darker/tan complexion. I was nervous that this would look whitish on my face. However, it blends in and I’ve actually worn the primer by itself a few times. I plan on buying it again. I love this primer!

Luminous light cream I mix with my face coverage and moisturizer. Not oily and you only need a very small amount. I’m happy with it.

I am very hard to please and I LOVE this CC primer, though it is far more than a primer. I have been searching since BBs became popular for one that I can wear for truly fair/porcelain skin without success. I wish I had all that money back! This has been my savior. I actually wear nothing over it at all. Not at all greasy. I have dry skin and will sometimes gently pat a small bit of moisturizer over it about halfway through the day. It is light weight and a very pretty porcelain pink in color that soon blends into the skin until you can't tell you're wearing anything at all. It has a smoothing quality that I adore. There is no detectable smell (to me, and I have a very sensitive nose) and the slight luminescence is pleasing to the eye, but not obvious. I highly recommend this for very fair people.

I personally love this primer. I am very pale and I find this perfect for evening out the redness around my cheeks. It gives me a good base to add concealer on with less creasing. By combining this with concealer I find I don’t even have to use foundation. I don’t find it very moisturizing though. It just serves as a good base to reduce redness.I don’t think this product would work as well if you have darker skin. My friend who is tan hated this because it made her look so pale.

I am a huge fan of the Neutrogena shine control primer but decided to try the Almay smart shade because the price was good and I always like to try something new. After using half the bottle I went back to my Neutrogena primer.This primer smells weird, as others have also noted, and isn't good for combination or oily skin. I felt like my makeup didn't stay a ton longer than with no primer again. It's also a rather thin consistency. Not horrible, but doesn't do the best job.

I really like this primer. It has a nice feel, goes on well and just adds a bit of color but not much. Could not find it locally. Will buy again.

This product does nothing. It cannot be returned. Why?? The Almay primer I used and loved was not available, so I bought this. Agin, it does nothing. Now I see what I hope is the same Almay primer with a somewhat different label. But, it is now $10 more expensive than before; but I did order it hoping it is the same. This product, that is worthless, cannot be returned.

I have paid so much more for other top end primers but have found this one absolutely great and at a very good price. My liquid foundation went on well and seemed to blend in well.

Es un producto bastante agradable para la piel, no te deja una sensación grasosa como otros primers, si bien no noto que disminuya el enrojecimiento o manchas, logra hacer que mi base de maquillaje dure por mas de ocho horas y no me salga tanto acné, volveré a comprarlo hasta que encuentra una mejor.

Leider steht auf der Flasche 2011 als Produktionsjahr. Das Produkt wäre gut, wenn es nicht abgelaufen wäre (bereits früher genutzt). Ich habe es nicht verwendet, weil der Geruch schon schlimm genug war. Abgelaufene bzw vier Jahre alte Kosmetik sollte man nicht verkaufen.

It doesnt cover that well and not good as a base under foundation. Makes the top coat blotchy.
