Cons: - Might not work with some phone cases. - The internal phone flash might not be usable depending on your filters. This is an excellent product that simply works by attaching it to a MagSafe-compatible device and putting on whatever 67 mm thread filter you desire. It does not require any special case/adapter, as long as you have MagSafe. This would also work if you get those adhesive MagSafe plates, so not only older iPhones, but also other devices, too, depending on your device's camera placement. I was able to fit all my existing 67 mm filters, as well as my wide-angle lens, which is heavy, but no issues, all while using the camera app. The build quality is surprisingly good, built out of aluminum with a couple of plastic parts, and a silicone backing that prevents it from scratching your device. The adapter mount comes with a screwdriver and extra screws for the included cold shoe mount and female thread adapter to attach other accessories, with the option to remove them for a more flush feel. It also has MagSafe built into the back of the product, so you can attach any MagSafe-compatible accessories on top of it, creating endless possibilities when creating a modular rig. For those who are concerned about removing their case to use this product, I find that it works well with my OtterBox Commuter Series Case by removing the rubber gasket around the camera cutout. I also found that it works even with the gasket on, so I would say this would all depend on the case you use, but it's probably best to use it without the case, according to the seller's details. The best part is that it is reasonably priced for just under $40 CAD! Since I own a lot of 67mm thread filters and accessories from my professional camera, all I needed to do was purchase this, and I was able to use whatever existing gear I own. One takeaway I'd have is that I had trouble using the internal phone flash as it was reflecting off the filter into the camera lens. Fortunately enough, it includes a cold shoe mount to attach an external flash or other accessories, which makes up for it. I haven't tested it with the microphone on since I only intend to use it for photography purposes. Overall, I would recommend this product if you want to spice up your photography game by adding different filters and creating a modular rig without having to purchase those fancy cages/cases that are limited to using any existing camera equipment you have, all while not breaking the bank. 5/5 Stars!

Didn’t exceed expectations. Had to return

I did a lot of research for a filter mounting solution for my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Originally I was going to purchase a case with accessory mounting plates but after reading reviews I decided not to. I questioned the robustness of the accessory mounts and the strength of the mag-safe magnet mount. I’m sure I was just overthinking everything and some of these cases may be ok but I decided otherwise. I also considered cage offerings from Smallrig and Neewer for the iPhone 15 Pro Max but both of these have pros and cons so they were a no go. The Smallrig cages for the iPhone 16 and 17 adress some of the issues I had for the 15 cage and mite be a good setup for those phones. I saw this filter mount from JJC in a YouTube video and it looked like a good option but I didn’t know if it would work with a phone case. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a slight camera bump that I think the JJC mount is supposed to fit over so I needed a mag-safe case with a similar contour. I ended up buying a Rokform case based on positive reviews commenting about the quality of the case, the roto lock mounting options/accessories, and the strong mag-safe magnet. The magnet is super strong and the case is of excellent quality. The back is relatively flat with a slight raised edge over the camera. It is lower than the bare phone camera bump but the JJC mount fit perfectly without any gap. The mount has a removable rubber ring that you may or may not have to remove on the bare phone or with other cases but it worked perfectly without any gap on this case. The magnet on this case is super strong and positive. I was originally thinking about using one of the cages as a permanent case but along with their shortcomings, they are also too large to daily and I didn’t want switch from case to cage whenever I needed to use a filter. This setup with JJC filter mount is almost an ideal solution for me. The only draw back is that I won’t have the option to use accessory lenses like you can with the cases and cages with accessory mount plates but I don’t think I’ll ever use them. This setup is very modular. The JJC mount has a cold shoe at the top and a 1/4 20 mount at the bottom to attach to tripods/cages/selfie sticks or anything else. They are removable with a small screwdriver if you want. It also has a mag-safe mount on the back to attach to any mag-safe mount or accessory. You can configure this setup any way you want and when your done you can quickly detach everything. Pretty slick

It’s good for quickly getting a filter on in a safe place. But even with the additional magnets on my case it’s not secure enough for me using hiking or to add anything via the cold shoe. If you had a really small light mic that might work.

Definitely helps reduce glare for the iPhone camera.
