Super Easy to Use!!
At first I was skeptical of an item like this. After much thought we went ahead and purchased it to replace what we thought was a faulty dock. Turns out it was the HDMI Cable we were using BUT this item works so well and so easily we decided to hold on to it in the event we took the switch on vacation. The item works exactly as it should provided you follow the instructions for connection. It can be a bit tricky to get it to cast to your TV/Computer but if you follow the instructions and wait the 6 seconds that it instructs you’ll be playing in no time. I definitely recommend to anyone who needs an extra way to connect but doesn’t necessarily need another a dock. Good stuff!

Love this!
I ordered this a while ago for my son because we play a lot but that dock is so big and not easily portable since we bring his Switch everywhere and whenever we can connect to a big screen, we will. This is so convenient, lightweight and easy to use. Just make sure everything is connected well and you will have no issues. Excellent product and I highly recommend!

Doesn’t actually output video
Doesn’t output to my Samsung 70” TV from my switch. That’s was the reason I bought it. Now I have just a slightly longer power cord.— update you actually need to use the original switch AC adapter. I was using one for my MacBook. Works just fine for switch.

EDIT: Broke after 6 months
Edit: Broke after 6 months of relatively light usage without any warning. I tried to have a smash party only to have the adapter work for 10 seconds then, the screen went black. Power would go through (switch was charging), and the switch itself detected it was connected to an external screen (screen on switch stayed black), but the TV showed nothing. Tried it on two monitors as well. It was great while it lasted, but now its in the trash.Bought this so I could connect my nintendo switch to TVs/screens/projectors while on the go without carrying the bulky dock. I can't speak for the durability of the adapter (though it seems solid in construction), but it works exactly as advertised. I followed the instructions on the label on the adapter, and my switch was connected to the screen without any problems. In terms of price and convenience, this is definitely a worthy purchase!

Stopped working after a couple uses
Port works as it should and is pretty awesome to own. It fits super well in my travel case (unlike the dock). My one complaint is after only a few uses it got a bit touchy, where if it was bumped or not at the right angle it didnt work. Now a year later it is totally useless. Honestly only got a few uses, not worth

Solved my issue with Nintendo switch not displaying on the tv.
Purchased to try to fix an issue with a Nintendo switch not displaying on the TV when in the orginal switch dock. Happy to report that it works very well, syncs up quickly with the tv, charges the switch, and takes up very little space. No issues over the last few days with hours of game play. The switch dock is expensive and bulky which makes this is a very compelling choice to use for replacing a dock or adding another place to dock your switch. I’ll pick up another to keep in the car to hook up with the in car media system. I marked durability a 3 since it’s too new to assess.

Works great and fits nicely in my Switch carrying case!
I've been using this adapter for over a month now on my big screen TV and it works exactly as advertised. Setup is simple and playback and charging are no different than using the dock that comes with the Switch. Best of all, it fits nicely in my Switch carrying case, which made it perfect for bringing my Switch with me on the travel that I did last weekend and still being able to plug it in to the hotel TV. Highly recommended!

Functions, But Only For Short Playing Times
First, it was a bit finicky to get the HDMI to connect to the TV. I ended up having to unplug it several times before it would connect. This was at a vacation rental, so the TV was older and I was unfamiliar with it. This is a minor nuisance as there is no disturbance in play once the adjusting happened (though it happened every time I reconnected). My bigger gripe was that the charging was not sufficient to increase battery power while playing. We had arrived with no juice in the battery and had to wait 20 minutes before the console was ready to play (it takes about 2 minutes with the dock that came with the Nintendo Switch). Furthermore, once playing, the console died several times while "charging" on this adapter. We had this happen several times. Additionally, when I did not play it overnight and was hoping the adapter would charge the switch, I awakened to a 65% charged switch console. It should've been fully charged and ready to take with me. I am marginally satisfied as I will be able to take my Switch to a friends and play as long as it is fully charged when I go.
