What a good purchase! I used to have a laptop disc that I haven't been able to use and when I bought this adapter everything got very simple. It has very good speed and I could recover all the information. It has the right size. I would have wanted the cord to be a bit long but it's practical and very easy to carry

I had this crazy hope of easily transferring my old data and records off of an old hard drive, and while it does function as advertised, it’s honestly a bit underwhelming. The setup is incredibly easy and straightforward. You simply plug it into the hard drive and your computer, and you’re good to go. However, one thing I found disappointing was that the transfer speeds are nowhere near what was advertised. I expected much faster data transfers, but instead, the speeds were much slower than promised, which made the whole experience feel a bit frustrating. It still works, but it doesn’t feel as quick or efficient as I had hoped. The design is functional, but again, nothing special. Performance has been excellent. Transfer speeds are fast and stable, making it great for backing up data, cloning drives, or recovering files from old laptops. It handles both SSDs and HDDs reliably, and I haven’t experienced any disconnects or lag during use.

I needed a cable to retrieve files from and format two old 2.5" SSD drives. The Benfei cable worked great, it connects snugly to the 2.5" drives and the drives and registered as soon as I plugged it in on a new computer. I was able to retrieve the files I wanted and then format the drives. At under $7, its a great price to have the convenience of plug and go versus opening your computer and plugging in an internal SATA cable and a power plug.
