No instructions here are some helpful hints
To release the seat find the latch. It is located five or so inches down on the door side of the headrest. The seat bottom needs to be released to allow the seat back to move away from the back of the cab. The pin in the first photo needs to be pulled up. There seems to be a sweet spot between the seat bottom all the way up and half way up were there is less tension on the pin allowing it to move up with little effort. Once the seat back is folded forward, remove the two screws with a Torx T30 driver also called a star bit by some. I put the strap through the Sporthfish bracket with the seem up. I don't think it matters which direction the strap goes through the bracket. I cut a bit out of the Sprthfish bracket to show in the photo how the tongue fits into the seat frame so the bracket sits flush on the frame. Place the red metal piece over the pin and then slide the Sporthfish bracket from the top down into the latch. Again, be sure to insert the tongue on the latch into the rectangular hole in the frame and line up the screw holes on the Sprthfish bracket, latch and seat frame. The original screws are reused to secure the Sporthfish bracket and latch. Even with the release in place, I find there is a sweet spot as you pull the seat bottom up where the latch releases easily. To secure the seat back apply a small amount of force as you move the seat bottom from the up position downward. It doesn't take much force. There just seems to be a point where it all goes together easily.I would have given it five stars if it came with instructions.

it works
It works, that's about it. The quality is quite low, the metal part appears to be very low quality aluminum / pot metal casting that was finished by a chimpanzee with a bastard file. It certainly doesn't look like it was machined from billet aluminum like the picture. The metal part is such a poor casting/quality that I'm worried that I yanked it too hard it may break. The nylon webbing isn't very high quality either. It looks like this thing cost about $0.10 to make. But it works, and you can't really see the metal when it is installed so I guess it doesn't matter, but it would be nice if the webbing was matched to what is already in the truck for a consistent appearance. No instructions are included, but Installation is easy and there are videos on youtube if you are confused. In short I'm not impressed, but it was cheap and it does the job.

Great product to do what the factory should have done already!
This should have been a factory-supplied feature. Sometimes I think that the automakers and the aftermarket industry get together before a car is released so they can hammer out what parts the aftermarket companies will offer, and this one was a bit too obvious. There is room to store stuff behind the rear seats so Ford should have included the necessary hardware to fold the seat backs down. Mine is a 2015 F150 so they may have changed this in subsequent years, but I doubt it.The product itself is really simple and easy to install. You just need to feel around the back of the seat for a while to find the little pin that needs to be pressed to release the seat back. After this latch is installed, folding the seat backs down is a breeze. Would definitely recommend so that you can gain easy access to behind the seat storage room that doesn't get used.Don't even get me started about the stock speakers in the new F150s. Would you believe they actually have plastic frames on them? Anywho, that's for a different review...

Works awesome!
Works awesome. No trouble installing. Took me longer to find my special screwdrivers. Followed the video on YouTube and no problems. Don't drop the little screws though. Can't believe I waited 3 years to purchase this. Now I can stuff sweaters and jumpercables/ towropes behind the seat

Read this review
To anyone reading this. It goes on top of the factory latch. I repeat. On top. Take the oem latch off. Lay them on a table side by side. Put the red piece on the little protrusion that operates the latch on the passenger side of the latch. Then slide the bracket over the latch long ways. Replace the screws. Super ez.As previously noted it's cast aluminum and it's rough. I had to lightly drill out the smaller hole in the red piece so it would fit better.Would I buy it again? Yes.Will I likley have to replace the cheap webbing within months? Yes.

FITS, 2018 F150 Lariat SuperCrew
Wow, fits and functions perfectly! Don’t listen to the other reviews, if you remove just the two screws, place the plate on TOP on the factory plate, there is no cutting needed. No extra fitment needed. It’s not made to go under, but literally sits on top of the factory plate. Just make sure the factory latch goes between the slot of the new plate. Took 5 minutes. I used a Velcro to hold the loop to the back of the seat. Cut it long enough, to create a slit, so the pull strap can be pulled easily. Super easy install.

DOES NOT FIT 2019 Raptor without cutting/drilling/modification.
Does NOT directly fit under bracket as it is supposed to. There is a hooked portion of the stock bracket which fits into a hole in the back of the seat cushion assembly on my 2019 Raptor. This item DOES NOT have any hole to line up with the hooked portion of the bracket. So I had to drill into this bracket in 2 places to provide an oval hole so the stock bracket would fit over the release bracket. Was able to get it to fit reasonably well though the seat latch was hit/miss as the catch behind the seat which the bracket connects to moves quite a bit. Does not provide easy open and closure as it is supposed to. Wouldn’t waste the time I spent on this.

2010 F150 Lariat - it wont install without modification
As others have already stated it needs and an additional hole to allow for the original bracket holder to hook back into the backrest backplate. The opening where the pin is supposed to rest in the red pull strap bracket is too small as well. Thankfully the material is easy to work with and necessary modifications can be made with basic tools. In essence, it's way too much money for the overall quality and workmanship.

Close but not quite.
This didn’t really fit my 2016 lariet correctly. The release works fine but getting the seat back up and locked into position is almost impossible. So we’ll made product and great idea just maybe not for the lariet seats?
