When I first started reading this books it came across as well-written and forthe most part InterestingBut Then I came across this paragraph...'Obama's EPA imposed an oppressive $75,000 per day fine on an Idaho coupleafter designating their property as "wetlands." The EPA sent a letter to Mike and Chantell Sackett thataccused them of violating the clean water act and In that same letter The EP required the Sacketts to remove the fill material and restore the wetlands.This started a legal battle that has gone on for Four years.They were also warned In 2008 that they could be subject of civil penalties of upto $32,500 per day. Which is less than half what the EPA later threatened them withbut even the lower 'fine' should also be considered Oppressive.This Is well before Obama was elected. All the EPA did after Obama was elected was tocontinue to pursue a legal battle that had started Under BushI side with the Sacketts in this case. I think the actions of the EPA shows governmentalOverreach but I don't see how this can be turned into a Partisan attack against eitherpresident.With this assertion being so inaccurate I find that I cannot accept any other assertions atface-value. I Feel that I will have to look up any other claims made by this author in this book.So after that I Continued to read the book and came across this paragraph.'On Veterans Day 2010, instead of extolling America and our armed services, Obama was in Indonesia celebrating its "Heroes Day,"lauding its veterans "who have sacrificed on behalf of this great country," and criticizingAmericans for distrusting Islam. While Obama often seems alienated from America, he tookpains to show that his connection to Indonesia is deeply personal, telling his audience, "When my stepfather was a boy, he watched his own father and older brother leave home to fight and die in the struggle for Indonesian independence."7Limbaugh, David (2012-06-04). On Veterans day 2010 Obama gave a speech to American service members at south Korean militarybase(United States Army Garrison Yongsan).A day earlier on November 10 he gave the speech in Indonesia.Limbaugh source in this case is an inaccurate New York Post story '"Bam AWOL on Vets Day" eventhe title of the news story is wrong. I can neither Trust the book itself nor the sources he chooses touse.How can I give a favorable review to a book that contains these types of inaccuracies? Howmany assertions do I have to look up to conclude that a book is untrustworthy?Even if you are a conservative only read this book if you are going to check the accuracies ofthe assertions made within it.The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because it is well-written.

In the 18th century, philosophers wrote about the optimum way to govern. These lengthy writings showed that the best way is for the government to do a minimum. The writers of our Constitution based the Constitution upon these philosophical writings. Today we are moving away from this, and giving more and more power to the central authority. Not only is our current approach illogical, defying the logical presentations given by these philosophers, but our approach defies current and historical evidence. This book, The Great Destroyer, presents clear evidence to the wrong approach we are taking.After reading the strong emotional words by other reviewers, I decided to buy the book and see for myself. Here are some quotes:Page 267: "The business community is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President." He gives a reference SeekingAlpha.Com 7/18/2011.Page 323: "While Obama and the EU are deluded into believing democratic elections will bring peace...They are sure to make virulent anti-Americanism their official policy..." He gives a reference A. C. McCarthy, National Review Online, 1/23/12.Page 17: Obama said, "We have lost our ambition..." Reference: Bauer, We are Politics, 10/28/11.Page 397 he discusses a trip with Cameron on Air Force One from DC to Dayton and back to watch a NCAA game. Gardiner of the UK Telegraph said this looks like an election year visit. The cost of the flight was almost a half a million dollars. Obama used PM Cameron as a campaign prop.There is so very much here. Detail after detail. He has 12 chapters: The War on America, on the Right, on the Disobedient, on our culture, on the economy, on our future, on oil, etc. It has 407 pages plus footnotes plus an index, for a total of 503 pages.We need to read this carefully in order to know what the facts are. We need to read this to arm ourselves against the powerful emotions of ignorance. Only by rational thinking and understanding can we survive. This book will help.Good luck!

I do not like this man, so it follows that I don't care too much for the book.

This book tells you all you need to know about Obama's "Hope and Change" promise. The book is apparently well researched and leaves the Americans no other choice but to vote Obama out before he totally destroys the country. The USA,Canada and the other civilized countries hold no hope at all if he his re-elected and the "change" forced upon the Americans will be nothing short of hell on earth. Their American constitution drafted by the founding fathers is relevant today and being totally ignored or twisted by the present administration.
