Garmin vívosmart HR+ Activity Tracker, Regular

While Amazon is saying my package is in Transit, little do they know I received it 2 days back. Super Super Fast delivery. I was supposed to receive it between 12th and 15th but got it on the 8th itself. Well Packaged and over packed in a air tight pack. About the Vivosmart HR+, I had a small issue with finding a way to change the language from Indonesian to English. Not a flurry though. Its all available on the net. Picked it up after reading plenty of reviews everywhere. Not many on Amazon India, but plenty available on Amazon USA and UK and of course expert reviews from various sites. It has been the right choice.. Looks beautiful and fits just great. Its not harsh on the wrist while wearing over night and it does not need to be worn very tight.

Excellent product. If it has to be GPS aided it has to be Garmin. Excellent accuracy. After initial few runs with GPS , the watch automatically syncs to your steps , heartbeat, and cadence and accurately gives readings when GPS not SW on. Remember the route has to be same , and frequency has to be same. Does have problem of flimsy strap and loop. Ensure you put scratch guard on it before use otherwise it takes on too many scratches.

Reason for me to zero on Gramin VivoSmart HR+ is, the wider range of activities tracked by the vivosmart HR+, plus its small size and its a all-purpose device that can blend in easily with whatever we wear. I was looking out for a band which is sleek enough to get ignored on my right hand as left is reserved for a watch (didn't went for smart watch due my love for a normal watch) Zeroed on Microsoft band and Garmin HR + (Fitbit chrage HR is out of competition), but Garmin Hr+ wins as firstly, it fits for regular use, whereas on other hand Microfsoft band is prone to scratches plus in most of reviews I read about issue with its strap clamp and second is long battery life for Garmin vivosmart HR+ band There are tonnes of reviews which put VivoSmart Hr+ against Fitbit Charge HR, so I don't want to get into those comparison. However within my week of usage I am pretty impressed with this. I wish they could have priced it around 16K as 21K is too much costly in india provided when it only costs 220$ in US. Overall its a all purpose waterproof durable activity band which also feed in all the phone notification :) Full Five star from me and to add Amazing service from Amazon to deliver it over night !!!!

Received the product on time. Very happy with the quality and functionality of Garmin vívosmart HR+ Activity Tracker. It takes little time while connecting to GPS for the very first time. Then onwards it is very quick. Good accurate data.

what i was looking for: i didnt want a chunky watch, it needed to have GPS, sleep monitor, had to be a good daily watch. Had to be tough, and have good app and web interface. All this is met with the Vivosmart HR+. Its pricey, but i could not find another model that had GPS for less. the heart rate monitor hikes up the price too. i'm a mountain and road biker, hiker and walker. i'm not super freaky about calorie counts and heart rate, and how many steps i take, but its interesting. i'm fussy about only seeing the info i want, and nothing that i have to page through. no golf, no swimming, no fluff. This watch is good for these things. This watch is a little chunky, its about the thickness of 7 pennies. but because its rectangular and not square, it lies on my smaller wrist pretty well. the color is a little brighter blue then is pictured, if i could do it again, i would get the black model. -Heart rate on the wrist rather then a chest strap is good and seems to respond quickly. i dont know how accurate it is compared to a chest strap, but for my purposes, which is curiosity rather then a training rubric, its good for me. this info charts well in the apps and can export for study. i love a graph. -GPS was a must. this GPS is more accurate and faster then the Forerunner 10 i previously had. it wirelessly transmits the GPS track to the web app, (Garmin Connect) and allows that info to be viewed, logged, and the file can be drag and dropped into Garmin's Basecamp software for editing and further use, like trip planning. (sorry for the run on.) Handy for me when i forget to turn off the GPS after a hike, and drive off. I can edit out the car part. -Web app: Connect is a fun interface. you can start and stop an activity on the watch, with GPS or without. the watch will 'know' when you are doing something more then average, like a quick jog or run up the stairs, and track that as a higher heart rate activity. Workouts can then be viewed and edited on Connect in greater detail. Connect uses dashboards and tabs so you can organize only the info you want. See my review of Forerunner 10 for more detail on Connect. the phone app is cool too, also editable so you only see what you want. i steered away from watches that included options i never use, like swimming and golf applications, and that is not a problem on this model. -Phone and watch connectivity: i appreciate this more then i thought i would. this watch will let you know when you get a text, calendar notification, phone call or email, and let you read the first few lines at a glance. this is really handy. i hate pulling out my phone for every little thing, but now i can put my phone on "do not disturb' deep in a pocket, and only get it out when i get something that needs my attention right away. Bluetooth has been great. Tip: when using Bluetooth, turn on the bluetooth on your phone, then go to the connect app to pair. you can use the BT utility to pair, but it will work better if you go right to Connect. Search the Garmin forums on this if you have a problem. -Connect: This allows for a lot of customization, including the direction of the readout on the watch, personal stats, goals, and how to turn off that stupid 'move alert.' it wont nag you if you set it right. :) This has allowed me to get rid of a lot of the runner/lap stuff i dont use. It has a Do Not Disturb function that can be turned on and off from the watch, and you can set day and night hours on connect, so it will automatically go to Do Not Disturb. final thoughts, i like this watch for not being overly complicated.

Is not the newest model but it is more than enough to keep track of your activities and sleep. I bought it for a first timer smart watch owner and he is very happy with it.

Antes corría un rato simplemente para ejercitarme, con este dispositivo ahora tengo un excelente seguimiento a detalle de mis carreras, cuidando en mantener un nivel de desempeño adecuado así como un esfuerzo extra controlado para ir progresando. He medido las distancias que calcula el dispositivo contra distancia que ya había medido y los resultados son asombrosamente cercanos a la cifra real, el gps se conecta muy rápido, mucho mas rápido que el gps de todos los celulares que he tenido, la medición de ritmo cardiaco quisa es de los punto menos exactos mas no por eso deja de ser útil en el entrenamiento, lo he comparado contra la medición de pulso por muñeca y reloj, en ocasiones. Un dispositivo excelente para llevar un registro de tu actividad física y mantenerte motivado durante tu rutina.

Decidí hacer mi reseña de éste producto después de un mes de uso, ya que tiene muchas funciones y quería hacer un uso en varias situaciones. Las correas son de lo un plástico bastante resistente, no tienen pernos, están sujetas con dos tornillos en la parte posterior del monitor y eso hace que sean más seguros. el monitor tiene tres sensores que hacen una mejor lectura del ritmo cardíaco todo el tiempo. Es muy preciso en cuanto a la detección de pasos y el tipo de actividad (caminar, correr, elíptica, etc.), si se está realizando entrenamiento con pesas se debe configurar manualmente la sesión. Es sumergible. La pantalla del Garmin Vivosmart HR + es monocromática, deja visualizar los pasos, ritmo cardíaco, pisos subidos, clima, duración de la actividad física, calorías quemadas, distancia recorrida ( en millas), el control del reproductor del celular con el que esté vinculado y, por supuesto, la hora. Lo compré para sustituir el Samsung gear s2, el cual es más atractivo por contar con pantalla a colores, sistema operativo que permite la instalación de aplicaciones y demás funciones, pero no me funcionaba para mi objetivo que es la medición de ritmo cardíaco preciso cuando estoy entrenando intensamente. Dentro del mercado de éstos dispositivos existen varios productos que son competencia, depende del uso que se le vaya a dar. A mi me pareció la mejor opción cuando hice la compra y con el uso cotidiano y en sesiones de entrenamiento mejor.

Más de lo que esperaba, los colores super bien, fácil de programar desde el smartphone. Los programas se pueden ajustar a las necesidades.
