If you are looking for pencils which produce sharp detail, these are for you! Though they don’t lay down with intense colour on first layer that’s precisely why you can use it for sharp details....it’s perfect for fur, animal and birds sketches. For stronger colour just layer it and you will get good colours. The shades in this set are natural so it’s really nice for wildlife sketching. Hated the packaging. Apparel retail packs the expensive 72 sets well...I have 2 of those...but any set with lesser number of colours come to you dented....I’ve had issues 4 times but didn’t return. Wish the seller packs all derwent boxes well. .....

Liking it so much. Attached an artwork (leopard) done through this pencil set along with other pencils like Mont Morte.This pencil set is best for light colors, firm tip and fine detailing. So, if vibrant laydown of colors is required, we must use additional colour pencils (like Derwent's own colorsoft).The seller/Amazon could have packed it a bit carefully though like bubble wrapping it. The box had slight dents but not major damages anyway.Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

I read so much about the Derwent studio pencils that I had expected the best. It is not good at all. The colors do not show up on the Derwent black book. Very disappointed. And also, the seller only has one option. Replace with the exact same item. Not worth the money. Derwent Drawing Pencils are superb. Derwent Studio ones hopeless on all kinds of paper. Too light for fun.

Lead keeps breaking and the colour is bad not at all for beginners and not easy to use do not invest in them
