Clementine Friend of the Week: 4 (Clementine, 4)

Excellent book for children.

All of clementines books are nice, this one especially because its about friends and how we must all look for good in our friends. its an excellent books for kids and adults ( as well) beacuse we tend to ignore the small good things.

Gifted this book, child loves these books

During COVID, I have been reading every day via Skype to my 9 year old grandtwins. I researched to find things that they would like, and Clementine has been a part of our day for a few weeks now. We've read all of the books, and they have been absolutely spot on delightful, warm hearted, sweet, endearing, lovely. I highly recommend this series. Read them in order - they're a lot more fun that way. We still recall fond moments in the stories, and use some of her invented words. Don't miss this series. And as a surprise bonus - one of the characters (Waylon) has his own 3 book series; he was one of Clementine's friends, and she's part of his books. We're reading those now. These are absolutely wonderful.

I cannot praise this series of books enough. Sara's work is wonderful! My seven year old loves these, both to have me read them to her (more than once), and to read to herself. The stories are funny and unwind gently with depth and humour. The English is elegant, simple, funny, stylish and unpretentious. Its lovely stuff!
