Well made, easy to install, strong
I needed eyelets for a clock face repair (the holes for the winding key) but clock face eyelets are a one trick pony and absurdly expensive, so I took a chance on these knowing that if they didn't work for my clock face they would still work as grommets on tarps and would work on leather goods and on card stock for tags and for binder dividers etc. So I ordered a set. So glad that I did. For my clock face I just used the necked piece without the backer. I cut notches in the neck so I could fold over the tabs, like an eyelet. That way I could easily remove them in the future if needed. Worked perfectly and looks great. Then camping season arrived and I added grommets to tarps. Worked well and are strong. Then I needed a custom tarp so I thinned some silicone caulk and impregnated a bedsheet (an amazing and useful technique, look it up on YouTube) then added the grommets that I needed to a triple thickness hem. Very strong and lightweight. Perfect. Then I needed repair and maintenance tags with reinforced holes for equipment. These are hangtags that are tied to equipment so service and repair techs can document when and what service was performed. Working perfectly. What will I use them on next? Well made, easy to use, and a great deal. I'm very happy.

Professional quality results.
Excellent tools for punching precision holes in leather and setting appropriate size grommets or eyelets. Use soft wood base for punch. Don’t use metal hammers for striking tools.

Great price, terrible quality.
Absolutely terrible quality! The anvil or setting base broke after a few uses. The metal is so poor quality is too soft for its purpose. If you are working on a one-off project or fixing something you will most likely have no need to fix it again, sure, for $7.99 it will probably get the job done one time. If instead you are looking for something that you will use successively, I can almost guarantee this is not it.
