On Target: A Gray Man Novel

What I enjoy about The Grey Ma series is the adventure, grit, and action written into the story. What I really like about the series is the reality of a lone wolf character who gets into jams and has to reach out for help because in life that is what we all have to do. He always takes action, forward moving action, but there are times when he must have help to move ahead. A great story laced with real life struggles to help you evaluate how to be a better person in your own life. A great read.

It was not quite a 4 star. The ending was a bit of a disappointment but it was still enjoyable.

Many series market themselves as viable alternatives to Lee Child's, Jack Reacher series. While this character still does not live up to that claim either, he is a viable go-to personna that makes for a good read. The author does a good job in developing the backstop and a good gung-ho drive that keeps you riveted. I watched the movie "Gray Man" with Ryan Gosling and liked it, ignorant of the book series. I discovered the first book in the series of the same name and subsequently went back and watched the movie a 2nd time. Everything clicked and fell into place. Unlike most book-to-movie franchises, Gray Man does a good job following the basic premise of the book, much like the movie "Reacher" took to its namesake. This being the 2nd book in the Gray Man series, continues the namesake in his quest, but this time, to help clear his past with the CIA on a blown mission. Recommend watching the movie Gray Man (Netflix) first and make sure to read the first in the series of the same name afterwards. If you've read Gray Man, watch the movie following. It colors your impression of the character. Then delve into this exciting sequel.

Thrilling second chapter to the Gray Man series. Makes me want to continue series ASAP. Thrill, comedy, and suspenseful read. Highly recommend

Great read! Read the books in order as the story continues. A real “can’t put it down” series

My first read of Greaney’s work. Sense I just read an action novel a cut above most in this genre. Definitely going to book 2.

Love the Gray Man books. Action from the start to finish. Fast paced and very well written. Very excellent book.

Schon der Transport in den Sudan erweist sich als Anfang vom Ende als die Maschine statt in Khartoum in Al Fashir landet um eine illegale Waffenlieferung der Russen zu liefern. Ellen Wash vom europäischen ICC, seine ehemaligen Teamkollegen von der CIA, die ihn mehr tot als lebendig sehen würden und ein vom Krieg zerstörtes Land, sorgen für eine eigene Choreographie. Die Russen wollen President Abboud töten, die CIA will ihn entführen und Gentry soll es für beide Gruppen richten. Er lässt sich auf dieses Doppelspiel ein, nur um am Ende festzustellen, dass er nicht nur von den Russen, sondern auch von den eigenen Leuten hintergangen und mit falschen Versprechungen in die Falle gelockt wurde.Ein sehr spannender Thriller, der schnell, atemlos und mit geschliffenen Dialogen die Charakteren zeichnet. Diese Novel zeigt einen Courtland Gentry, der an seine Grenzen stößt und seine Verletzbarkeit, die nicht nur Ellen Walsh, sondern ihm selber fast zum Verhängnis wird.Empfehlenswert. Vom ersten bis zum letzten Buchstaben. Jedenfalls in der englischen Originalversion.

Zuerst wars ein bisschen wie Karl May. A b e r dann musste man schon sehr bangen , ob und wie der Court hier unbeschadet rauskommt.

Thrilling story. The story is told on the fast lane without loosing control. If your fantasy is about pushing you around the wrong corner the action keeps you straight up. Looking forward to part 3.
