Adventure/Touring Boot
The Gaerne G-Dakar Gore-Tex is an excellent adventure/touring boot for riders tackling mixed conditions—wet weather, gravel, or off-road. It offers high-level protection, reliable waterproofing, and long-ride comfort, making it ideal for casual fire-road & trail riders. Thumper/350R - UT

Quality ADV boot for wider feet.
Good heel padding for my particular Haglund's issues on these, but YMMV. They are fairly wide, but if you have foot issues like bunion or compression (neuroma) they may need additional widening by a professional, and there is a limt to how much they can be safely widened. They are roughly equivalent to an oversize EE (barely). The straps are longer and more adjustable than they first appear, and I needed to figure out how to properly ratchet them into a longer configuration to get a good tuck on the legs of my jeans. These are thick boots: they will require large boot cut in riding pants, but well armored, but if your calves aren't super thick you can tuck in. I got a small discount, which is hard to find on this item. All of these modern boots look kind of cyberpunk with the plastic and hinges, so if you like that, black is perfect and brown will give you a little more style (just my opinion). These are some of the only boots that can be properly resoled out there at this price point. Break in will be slow, so be prepared. I'll be comparing them to the Gaerne Balance WP/oiled later in the year. Edit: wearing these to work on breaking them in this evening, I decided to explore the insoles. This is one thing you can upgrade immediately, as the insoles are fairly terrible in these. I personally like the Lightfeet Slim Support, since they give a little arch, have more resilient/resistant padding, and don't add much bulk to the bottom of the shoe bed.

Would buy again
I have wider feet and these are really great. Comfy right out of the box and true fit for me with other boots including non-riding boots.

Fantastic ADV Boot
I wouldn't have expected that Amazon would be the place to buy motorcycle boots; however, I got lucky with these. I have been wearing a pair of older Gaerne ADV boots for about a decade, so I am familiar with the fit and the quality. I ordered these because I want the ankle bracing that these boots feature. Make no mistake, this stabilization is a must-have feature. The boots are, as expected, well-made and give the impression of durability. New for me is the brown suede construction; I like this since they are subtle yet distinctive alternative to all black (which I find gets too hot during long rides in the summer) or the racer-boy neon color schemes of MX boots. The reinforced heel, along with the ankle bracing, makes for a very supportive fit, and when combined with the shin shield, creates a boot that I have complete confidence in from a protection perspective. Add in the Gore-Tex liner for waterproofing and this makes for an excellent ADV or touring boot! A word about sizing: I wear a size 12 in Asics and Brooks, and a 11.5 in Nike running shoes; my previous pair of Gaerne ADV boots are a size 11, and my Sidi road boots are a 46. I ordered a size 11 and feel like they fit well. They are a bit roomy in the forefoot. I have a narrow foot with a high arch and wish that they were narrower (like my Sidis) but I think that the average person will find they fit well. The top of the boot has a pretty big diameter; I think it could be slimmed down. If you are wearing some sort of bracing or have very large calves, this will work well for you, but otherwise I think the opening is a bit too big. So then, why on 4 stars? The first reason is the opening and the roomy fit, I just wish the boots were a little less voluminous. The second reason is that there are only two buckles that secure the boot that are paired with the large velco fastener at the top; I wish they had kept the three-buckle design of the previous version but I guess this is probably a cost savings. That's really it. Do I recommend them? Yes. Would I buy them again? Definitely. If you're in the market for an ADV or touring boot that maximizes protection, then these are an excellent choice.

Boot bottom clasp will not stay secured
These boots came and looked great. I immediately took them out into the woods, where I was very impressed with how they held up. The romance didn’t last. Within 3-4 rides, the lower clasp would not stay secured, I was hopping off the bike every ten minutes to re-fasten it. I cleaned the boot, screwed the clasp down tighter, really tried everything to get it to lock in. Nothing worked, now I’ll be looking for a new pair of boots. Really a shame, they look great and are very comfortable, but if they can’t do the job I bought them for; to protect my feet then they are no good to me.

Came with Bad buckles
Comfortable, but the lower buckles seem to be worn out or defective from factory. Idk if it's this pair that's defective or the design of the boot. It's kind-of sketchy cause the bottom buckles will just randomly come undone either while walking or riding.
