febi bilstein 37579 Brake Light Switch, pack of one, Black

Was having problems with faults coming up on my dash, after research I found it was this, replaced it with ease and all has been good since!

Old switch had just worn down so brake lights permanently on. Stopped for new switch now lights work as expected

Unbelievable. Daughter's 2013 Fiat 500 would randomly beep and list multiple errors whilst driving (transmission, engine etc), but diagnostic scan showed nothing. Eventually we found it could be triggered when braking. This switch was the cause - 10 minutes to replace, found in passenger footwell on UK car.

The switch was a much tighter fit than the old one. When I tried to turn it to lock it in place it wouldnt turn at first. It took some fiddling but eventually it did and the VDC error is gone and brake lights have gone back to normal. Cant ask for more than that.

Paid peanuts for this product, to fix my wife’s Fiat 500! Kept having engine management problems! Turns out it’s a common problem with this type of car. Read all the forums and one pointed out changing this switch, which I did. Car’s worked a dream since! Fantastic product, would highly recommend to anyone with the same problems!

Car was getting intermittent "Hill Holder/ESP disabled" warnings, Internet forums recommended changing the Brake Light Switch.On Uk cars, the switch is on the passenger side, just above the footwell. Its easy to get to.To change, simply locate your old switch and turn it counter clockwise 45 degrees and it will pop out.Now use a small flat blade screw driver to pop the clip that holds the electrical connection on and remove that plug.Put the electrical connection on to the new switch and put that back in the hole, turn it clockwise 45 degrees and thats it, job done. Its a 2 minute job.Another reviewer said the white bit was too long and yes its about 8mm longer than the one I removed however both have exactly the same part number. I suspect that the action of pressing the brake somehow ratchets the bit that depresses to ensure accurate movement, there is no need to cut it.Anyway did it work? So far it has cured the problem.

Had and issue with hill start, esc light, cruise control in 2019 Fiat 500.Once switch was replaced it fixed all above issues.

Habe das Produkt aufgrund einer Fehlermeldung meines Fiat 500 gekauft. Leider passt der Artikel nicht ganz genau. Nachdem ich ein wenig abgefeilt habe, war der Einbau innerhalb 1 Minute erledigt. Am besten vor dem Einbau mit dem original Teil vergleichen. Dann sieht man auch die Stelle.Ich würde es definitiv wieder kaufen.
