Review: Beautiful. - This is a wonderful companion to the first book. Beautiful story, message, illustrations, and high-quality printing and binding. A lovely gift. Review: A Worthy Successor to The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse... - Having received the first book as a gift, I dived right into it and read it straight through. Loved the story, the calligraphy, the messages, and the suggestion that it can be read in different ways. I loved it SO much I bought copies for family members as gifts several years ago. I still pick mine up, choosing random pages to read regularly for the uplifting messages the author has provided. It's a book I read over and over again. Loving its predecessor so much, I bought this one for myself. It is as uplifting as the first. The drawings are superb, the calligraphy makes me smile, and the messages on nearly page are so needed. It is a visual treat; it is a joy to read, and it is a book to savor and share. Thank you, Charlie Mackesy, for sharing your talent and words of wisdom with the world. Now, paraphrasing the Mole, "Be patient, be kind, and eat cake!"

Love the art. Love the words.
I have ordered 6 of these amazing books---I gave 3 away for graduation gifts, 2 for Birthdays ,....and I for me!! They are insightful, thought provoking, hopeful.......whether I read the entire book, or just open it up, asking "What do I need to hear right now?" One of my favorite pages is "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and the answer is .....well, you need to read the book! For all ages, a short read........for those who want to think, want to feel, want to understand.

$10is a great price
This is a beautiful book. I cut it apart for junk journaling and to make cards. Nine dollars is a great price for a brand new book. I think it’s $10 now. When it first came out, I paid full price for it because I wanted this book. It’s a very calming, emotionally soothing book. When the price dropped, I bought several as just because gifts and for crafting.

The blue sky above never leaves
Always Remember, The boy, the mole, the fox, the horse and the storm by Charlie Mackesy is such a beautiful book from the heartfelt words to the beautiful artwork. Reading this book feels more like speaking to friend that you've known all your life. It's a book that you can sit on your coffee table and go back to anytime you need to remind yourself to be kind and forgiving to yourself or just a loving gift for someone who needs to hear they are loved. My copy will be cherished by my daughter but I'm so glad I got the opportunity to read this treasure.

A Beautiful, Comforting Read That Feels Like a Hug in Book Form
This book is an absolute treasure. From the very first page (just like the first book), it feels like stepping into a quiet, gentle world filled with kindness, honesty, and little truths that stay with you long after you close it. Charlie Mackesy has such a gift for capturing the softest parts of life (friendship, fear, hope, and healing) and putting them into simple conversations and beautiful illustrations. The boy, the mole, the fox, and the horse feel like old friends offering comfort. Every page has a line that makes you pause and breathe for a moment, like “Storms don’t last forever” or “Asking for help isn’t giving up.” It’s the kind of book that speaks to you differently depending on what you’re going through, and somehow always says exactly what you need. The artwork is stunning. It's delicate, emotional, and full of movement, and the whole book has this soothing, almost magical quality. It’s a perfect read for anyone who needs reassurance, or a reminder that softness and strength can exist together. I’d describe it as a quiet little hug in book form. Beautifully made, meaningful, and something you’ll want to keep nearby to revisit whenever life feels heavy. It also has a beautiful feel to it which makes it even more special! Highly, highly recommend.

A Gentle Reminder of What Truly Matters
Charlie Mackesy has a rare gift: he can express profound truths with remarkable simplicity. Always Remember continues that tradition beautifully, offering a quiet collection of reflections that feel less like reading a book and more like having an honest conversation with a wise friend. Like The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, this book isn’t driven by plot or complexity. Its strength lies in its ability to slow the reader down. Every page invites a pause, encouraging reflection on kindness, courage, vulnerability, hope, and the importance of remaining human in a world that often rewards the opposite. Mackesy’s illustrations are as meaningful as his words. Together they create an experience that is emotional without becoming sentimental, gentle without losing depth, and simple without ever feeling simplistic. What I appreciate most is that this is a book that changes depending on when you read it. The same page can carry an entirely different meaning during seasons of joy, uncertainty, grief, or personal growth. Very few books possess that quality. I’ve found myself returning to Charlie Mackesy’s work repeatedly over the years. Rather than reading it from beginning to end, I often open it at random and allow a single page to accompany me for the day. Somehow, it almost always feels timely. This is not just a book to read once. It is a companion to revisit whenever life becomes noisy and you need to remember what has always mattered: compassion, friendship, resilience, and love. A beautiful addition to an already extraordinary body of work, and a book that deserves a permanent place on any bookshelf.
