All the Coffee, None of the Zoomies
Smooth and surprisingly flavorful for a decaf, with mellow cocoa and nutty notes. Easy to drink and not overly bitter, making it a solid everyday cup. The downside: coffee fans who love bold, punch-you-awake flavor may find it a little tame. Delicious, fresh aroma!

It's actually good coffee
All I want my decaf to do is taste vaguely like coffee. This was the cheapest thing I could find, so I gave it a go without any expectations. But it's actually GOOD - it has a taste, it smells good, very nice.

Taste is ok, and good value, but weak for a medium dark roast
This is a good value for someone who doesn't need or want a stronger more robust coffee. I expected with the name being Cafe Special Medium Dark Roast, that it would be a little stronger, bolder coffee flavor. Compared to Maxwell House medium Decaf, it actually takes more coffee to get similar strength coffee taste. I used seven heaping tablespoons to make five 6 oz cups of coffee, and it tasted pretty weak. I am still experimenting, but even if I get a decent cup of coffee with say 3 or more heaping tablespoons per cup, that will not be a good value at that point. Again, if you like a lighter roast or breakfast blend decaf, this may be a good value & a good coffee for you, but I need a much stronger, more robust coffee flavor.

extremely weak and lacking flavor
For "medium/dark roast" this coffee is pretty flavorless and weak. That must be why it's significantly cheaper than the other decaf options on Amazon. But because I go through a lot of decaf, it makes sense to buy the cheapest one. I get the desired flavor and darkness to my coffee from the caffeinated I use. My typical pot of coffee is 1 tbsp regular + 5.5 tbsp decaf + 6 cups water. This ratio gives me the desired darkness and flavor. More grounds than that make it way too muddy. And I don't need more caffeine than that.
