She's been a good blender. Two years later...
I have had this blender for almost two years now. It has lasted two years before having any issues, which is why I kept all 5 stars. What I liked: *Functional attachments and it's nice to have both in one appliance. *Heavy duty glass jar has endured multiple slips during handwashes. *Blender lid with a backflow escape for when measurements are inaccurate or miscalculated. I occasionally misjudge ice-to-liquid ratios and this causes the jar to overflow. The lid has the overfill spout opposite the regular pour spout. Saved me several big cleanups for sure. *Multiple speeds for various different uses and two different pulse buttons. What I did NOT like: *The attachments(including the main jar) usually takes two or three quick attempts before it sits properly on the base. Not a big deal, but a little annoying. *The lid is not easy to put on the pitcher. It is not for the weak. I usually have to hold it on because it tends to slip back off as the blender runs. I think it's suppose to suction on, but after two years, I still haven't succeeded in attaching the lid properly. *Sometimes the ice wedges under the blades, so I've made it a habit to check if I can turn manually turn the blade from underneath before attaching to the base. Recent issues: A strange smell while in use. And inconsistent functionality, meaning that sometimes it just randomly will not work properly. I turn it off, unplug it, switch outlets, attach and reattach from the base, etc. The only thing that seems to help is to rotate the blade turner on the base. That is definitely not normal. Based on the presence of a smell and the inconsistency, I'm pretty sure the motor is going out. I can't recall if I purchased a warranty plan, but after two years, I feel it's likely time for something different. When I first bought this, it was for occasional use. And 700W seemed powerful enough. Now, I use my blender multiple times throughout the day and I really need something that can handle that much activity.

Nice blender and does the job
Really like this blender. The glass jar is not too big and heavy but it is sturdy. I haven’t used the food processor yet but the blender makes my spinach, blueberry, strawberries and banana smoothies just right. The lid fits tight and another customer said it doesn’t fit but I found if you put it on from the spout first and then push down on the back by the handle it goes nicely into place. Looks great on the counter and isn’t extremely loud. I really like that you can wash all the parts. I purchased a different one and you couldn’t get the blades submerged in water and I found that to be very difficult. Then I tried to clean it and the water came out all over the motor unit and it wouldn’t release the glass jar. Very frustrating and possibly dangerous. So I will stick with a little less technology and clean my blender by hand.

Blender fun
Not sure how to work the food processor attachment, but other than that this is a good investment for smoothies, milkshakes, grinding meat. Simply enjoying the blender and the food processor. May get slicing veggies soon. Good luck everyone!!!

Best "Value" blender combination
I bought this blender back in October 2019 , and since then it has served me well. Let me also say at that tie the blender with food processor combination was (at that time) ~40 USD so truly a great value for the money, although I see today that price has increased dramatically. I will go through the features below. If you don't want to read my full review in summary I would say this machine is great for your first apartment where space is limited , or alternatively for people who really need a blender (personal or standard size) and only occasionally need the additional attachments. I would have liked to see this product built into a "kitchen system" with more attachments that I could buy later or add on (Larger bowl , dough hook attachment, juicer). The motor is more than capable of doing much more but the accessories and lack of speed control limit it's functionality when you want to create more complex dishes or need. My advise to you is this - If you are considering this machine over all of the other ones out there I assume it is because you want more functionality than a traditional blender , if that's true and it turns out you actually need more than just a blender there are other Kitchen systems that might serve you better in the long run (Ninja for example). However if you have a small apartment (or are just cooking for 1~2 people) and don't need something fancy then this might be a good option --Motor: *The good: Strong Small (Compact) *The bad: Plastic drive for connection to all accessories Only two speeds (2 Speeds + 2 Of the same speed in "pulse" mode) Which makes for 4 total buttons --Large Glass blender *The Good: Large (Standard) capacity Made from glass Powerful enough to chop ice with a little liquid *The Bad: Lid is very difficult to remove once sealed (As others have noted) You cannot clean it without removing the blade --Personal Blender: *The Good : Perfect size for smoothies and smaller blending needs Powerful The mouthpiece opening is very ergonomic and there is no spilling unlike other "flap style" mouth pieces. It is designed to be slightly inserted into your mouth which means you can take a sip and re-close it without excess smoothie in the lid basin. *The Bad: The travel lid uses a friction fit closure and silicone ring to seal the mouth piece , Over time I think the friction fit will wear out which you'd need to buy a new lid, I'd like to see a "Screw top" lid something like the "Takeya" water bottles have. The measurement markings are printed instead of molded into the cup , which can cause them to fade over time. In my case I don't have a dishwasher and therefore only hand wash in a few short months of ownership I have seen the markings begin to fade way. I suspect if you use a high powered dishwasher it will be more severe. There is no "Lip protection ring" in case you want to drink directly from the cup without the lid attachment. The edges are not sharp but it is not very comfortable unless you add the cover. --Food Processor: *The good: Can easily process 1 regular can of beans for Hummus Has a measuring cup integrated into the "pusher" and the markings are "embossed" or molded into the plastic. *The Bad: I do not like the "drive" contraption which delivers power from the motor to the blade . It is very large , difficult to clean and has a small rubber seal at the top which I suspect is not dishwasher safe and will likely ear over time. There are already Food processors with blades that are screwed to the bottom , I would have liked to see this kind of design. There is no scraper attachment for the sides of the bowl, so you will need to manually open and scrape. At this price point you truly cannot complain however it should be noted. The blade has a very smooth sides which makes hand washing very tricky, it would have been better to make this square shape and it could also help move the food around as there is no bowl scraper. The "Pusher" attachment does not reach the bottom of the bowl , So when it is in Food Processor mode it really only acts as a cover. The bowl is small - truly this is going to be something that you can use to prep a small amount of food at a time, like 1 can of beans for hummus, 2 medium onions , 1.5 cans of black beans (smaller than chick peas) Very loud, Much louder than either of the blender accessories Need to pre-chop some veggies to fit in the chute (No full size russet potatoes fitting in here, you need to chop in half first) No dough making blade --Food Shredder: *The good: Shreds, cooked meat, cheese, veggies no problem Pusher meets the cutting blade (unlike food processor mode) *The Bad: Only one size cuts No "Spiralizer" function Gaps on the side which allows food to fall to the bowl. Uses the same "drive" contraption as the food processor --Food Slicer: *The Good: Slices food as intended *The Bad: Only one size slices Same me issues with the Food processor + below Food can become stuck in the blade

AWSOME
I have not used the food processor attachment yet but for the blender it doesn't work very well at all. It doesn't grind up all of the smoothie ingredients small enough, some of the larger things get stuck in a whirlpool around the edge of the glass picture, I think it's because the blades aren't big enough. I'm kind of disappointed because everything else seems to be real nice. Revised review: somewhere after using the blender for a couple of weeks. It's a learning curve. This thing is awesome! Absolutely awesome. But I still haven't used the food processor.

Don't buy this
I did not like this product at all. The plastic on it was so cheap. Lid was horrible. The machine itself. The body where the motor was at was super cheap. I sent it back after trying to use it for 3 to 5 days and Now I'm struggling to just get a refund back. I was have been on the phone five times and was told I would have my refund in 2 hours after UPS picked it up from the front door because I just had surgery and can't drive. I have yet to see my refund and it's almost 2 weeks later. Right now I am extremely unhappy with the product and with Amazon both.

Two years later and going strong!
I’ve had this blender and Food Processor Combo for over two years, and it still works like new. It’s lightweight, compact, and surprisingly powerful. I love the glass blender jar—the lid seals tightly, and the pour opening is perfect for sauces, salsa, purées, smoothies, and adult beverages without making a mess. It’s easy to assemble, clean, store, and the food processor attachment is a great bonus. It’s been a reliable, versatile addition to my kitchen, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Space-saving combo, but motor struggles with thick mixtures 🥤
I bought this Hamilton Beach 58163 blender and food processor combo for my small apartment kitchen. It includes a 40 oz glass jar, travel cup and 3-cup chopper, perfect for smoothies and chopping veggies 😐. The 700-watt peak motor works fine for light recipes, but it bogs down quickly with thick frozen mixtures. The food chopper attachment also leaks a little liquid around the seal when processing wet ingredients. Swapping between attachments is simple, but the base vibrates heavily at high speed and creates noticeable noise. It’s great for basic daily tasks, but don’t push it with dense frozen shakes or heavy chopping jobs. For casual light use, it’s acceptable

Eficiente
