Great Chair
The chair arrived very well packaged. Assembly basically consisted of attaching the back to the base of the chair -- two bolts in the arms and two bolts/cotter-pins to connect to the seat. The ottoman connects to its base with 8 bolts...the alignment of one hole was very slightly off but of no consequence.Once assembled, the chair is a very attractive piece of furniture and feels solid.Overall, the chair is comfortable but perhaps a little too firm. The cushioning is essentially a one-inch layer of memory foam...you aren't going to sink back into this chair. On the other hand, there is plenty of support including the lower back. The head rest is a matter of taste...at first I liked it but quickly decided I didn't. It flips to the other side of the chair if you don't want to use it.I'm a little over 6 foot and a little over 200 lbs...not a small guy. The chair back is of adequate height but if you are in the 6' 5" range, you may want to see one in the store first. While the chair seat is of adequate width, the arm rests are narrow. The chair is essentially a reclining glider. Loosen the knob on the right side to recline back and tighten it to lock into place. The reliability of the locking mechanism remains to be seen through the years but I suspect it'll be okay. The chair rotates smoothly on its base and is raised slightly so won't muss your carpet. It looks like it'd be fine for a hard-wood floor but I haven't tried. It doesn't take up too much floor space. My only real complaints are that I wish the arms were a little wider and softer and that the ottoman slides around the floor -- even the carpet -- too easily. If you're comparing this to the Stressless chairs, I think this is probably 2/3 of the quality at 1/4 of the price. It's closest to the Vegas which runs around $2800-$2900.

Very comfortable, but build quality isn't great and doesn't match price
For this style of chair, these are about the most comfortable I've sat in. They look pretty good (if a bit heavy in appearance), and the leather looks and feels nice, so that's all good. Assembly isn't too hard. There is a single piece of paper with a diagram of which parts go where. It doesn't guide you step-by-step, but it was all I needed to put it together. The main downside for us is the cheap construction. The swivel mechanism is a plastic loop under the chair, held on (or not in our case) by cheap plastic clamps. They all came apart in shipping, and I suspect they will come apart again in daily use. That would be appropriate for chairs costing far less than these do. I suspect that will be the first point of failure.

A huge disappointment
We live on a small island in the Caribbean and rely on importing many goods including furniture due to a limited local choice. I would never have chosen this chair if I had been able to see it for real. It looks cheap. It is not nicely finished, the neck-cussion is crooked and other seems are not straight. It is low and the height cannot be adjusted. The “recliner” feature is a joke as it has to be manually adjusted with a screw that has a clumsy wooden handle. It is no good for anyone taller than 5’6” - my husband is 6’2” and ended up with a kinked neck. He tried using it occasionally for a week and the upholstery in the lumbar region is already looking worn. I feel cheated.

Incredible value, phenomenal body support, beautiful contemporary design!
I looked for a long time to find my ultimate recliner chair. I compared Costco, Sams club, and local furniture stores and concluded that this was the ultimate chair at the fairest price here on amazon. When my Recliner arrived it took me 30 minutes (by myself) to assemble the chair. The instructions, fasteners, and tools were all hi quality. Upon closer inspection of the base, frame, leather, and wood, I was really impressed at the quality. Fit, and finish of this chair are excellent. I write to you from my new recliner. And I can honestly say that I am in ergonomic bliss. WOW! The support to my back and legs is great. I love the fact that the chair is filled with hi grade memory foam like in a mattress. The comfort is amazing and this might be some of the best money I have ever spent.

Back-friendly Comfort
We bought 2 of these chairs, and we LOVE them! No more propping up with and/or sitting on pillows. Changing the position of the chair is effortless. The slope of the footrests are perfect, we can turn them around for a different feel, push them away or pull them closer. My chair has the head rest that can be flipped over the back of the chair out of the way when not in use. This is particularly good for me, since I have arthritis in my neck and need different support depending on my position. The chair takes all of the stress off of my back and neck, and the height of the footrest helps prevent the numbness and pins and needles I experience from my back injury & sciatica. The leather is very soft, fits in with our decor perfectly, and adds a tasteful touch to our living room. On top of it all, these chairs were a fraction of the cost of the Ekornes chairs and couch we investigated. I can't recommend these chairs highly enough. Thank you Mac Motion!

Good support
I’ve had this chair for 5 years, and came back to buy another. I would recommend this chair to anyone that has trouble finding back support. It is stylish and made nicely.

This is not worth the money the color is not ...
This is not worth the money the color is not true to description and the head rest is not even sewn on straight. I bought this before I read that only real leather where you touch.

The chair is very comfortable, but came with two problems
The chair is very comfortable, but came with two problems:1. The 'lock' to keep it from changing position doesn't hold.2. The finish on the base has some spots that aren't finished enough to be a consistent color. It is pretty, though, and is a khaki color, which should wear well.
