From reading the product review, I got the impression that the NOCO Genius 1 A charger will desulphate lead-acid batteries. But there is no mention of that in the instruction manual, unlike the NOCO Genius 10 A version thatI had bought earlier.

Si recomiendo este producto ya que si cumple con su función que es cargar baterías de nivel pequeño, para baterías de motocicleta es idóneo y si cuida el ciclo de carga, por lo que podrás conectar tus baterías con total confianza y el modo mantenimiento me parece una característica super.

So I just bought a brand new one two years, but it’s because I never registered the warranty for our first one. This is basically a one piece kit that is a great starter for battery charging for most kinds of automotive and marine batteries. It’s very simple to use, and the one reason our last one stopped functioning is because of built in fail safes. In this case: my wife and I were washing our camper and this got wet and then got some dirt on it, it got through the water resistant seal and the charger could detect this. The great news is the charger will literally cease to function if it has become damaged. It will give a flashing red light, and you cannot put it into Force Charge mode. The only downside is unless you have a multimeter, you may not know that it has become damaged internally. I figured it out because of the mode not working, and it wouldn’t charge any batteries. The fuse was fine. So make sure you register this when you get it. It does the job and the only way you know it’s working is because of the status light, as it is beyond quiet. It’s basically a plug with the clamps for the battery terminals, so it is easy to store and carry around. I highly recommend this charger if you need something simple without a lot of functionality, just don’t leave it exposed to the elements.
