These work great!. I brought my outdoor plants inside without taking too many precautions so I was nervous of what insects could come in with the plants. It has caught mostly knats so far...probably from the organic soil used, but a few other insects too. It is not very handsome hanging there over my plants, but it works for my utilitarian purposes. If your plants are for decorative purposes, you would need to hide it better. It is pretty much a bright yellow square of fly paper.

Great for house plants
This worked great, kept the whitefly and knats at bay. I wish the size of the sticky area was bigger or they provided a larger pack. Depending on the infestation the sticky surface becomes covered faster and then requires a new one.

Works as expected
I have been gardening for the last 20 years now and white flies have been a problem in most warmer places like the West. This sticky trap is an environment friendly way to trap and reduce white fly infestation in your garden. Its a pretty straightforward product - you hang it in multiple places and the flies are attracted by the white color and they fly towards it, get stuck and die. I suggest that after the first placement, you shake the plants a bit to disturb the flies. That will get some out. Then you leave it on for the rest of the time. They remain sticky for a while. Its better to use disposable gloves when handling these as they can get messy. Also you need a lot of these (5 were too less for my 1000 sq ft garden). There's also a 15 pack which may better suit your needs.

Will buy again
We bring our outdoor plants into a sun room every winter. Almost always have white flies. Reluctantly used an insect spray, but they kept coming back. Hung 3 of these around the infested area. Shook the plants several times twice a day, usually when the room was the warmest. Many white flies would take off. After 4-5 days, we are unable to find any more flies and our strips were covered with hundreds of white flies.

It works
You need to fold these in half which is slightly cumbersome to do while staying away from the sticky.Once I had the two ends close to each other, I stuck a bread bag tie through the holes that are there and twisted that end together.(The remaining part of the tie I formed into a hook to hang on a branch.) Then used pliers to try to squeeze the fold so the thing would be as flat as possible.I wasn't sure if I'd be able to tell if it was working, but sure enough I can spot the tiny white flies on there that have been killing a couple of my tropical trees that I move inside during the winter. Before these arrived, the flies would flock to the window near the trees during bright sunshine. I would just wipe my hand quickly across the glass and kill most of them.I tried taking one tree outside in the freezing weather for 1/2 hour to kill the bugs, but that killed all the leaves. After a month or two, the plant came back to life with all new leaves and to my chagrin, the bugs reappeared. I'm glad I have these traps to help combat the problem. Soon I will be able to move the trees outside.I would like to have these higher in the tree, but the weight of them combined with the flimsy branches on my tree keeps me from doing that.I've read that bug sprays do not work on white flies.
