Hunter Women's Original Short Rain Boots

I was nervous to buy these after reading some reviews, but ultimately decided for the price (compared to Nordstrom, my other option) it was a good deal and worth a shot. I live in the Midwest and have gotten plenty of use from these this year. I usually wear a size 7.5 but got a 7 and they fit perfectly with room for a thicker sock if needed, but not too large to wear with a normal sock. I’m 5 ft 3 and these look exactly like I’d hoped they would, they hit at just the right spot on my leg. I’ll buy a fleece insert to wear with them this fall and winter. So far they have cleaned really well when I get mud on them, and they have held up nicely. For the price on here I’d be happy to buy another pair in a few years if these wear out. I’ve never owned a pair of hunter boots before so I can’t compare, but these seem real to me from what I can tell.

Love my boots. I wear them daily in the garden. When it rains. Or just wet weather.

I’m 5’3” and these boots stops perfectly a couple inches above my knee. They’re light weight and comfortable to walk in, with no concerns of slipping around. My shoe size is 7.5 and I sized down to 7 in these. They fit perfectly with socks on, no toes squished.

I'm a very true size 7.5 and after reading all the reviews, which stated that these boots run big, I went with the size 7 and I'm so glad I did !!! They fit me PERFECTLY! With these size 7 boots, I CANNOT feel the end of the boot with my big toe. In other words, my big toe is not touching the front tip/edge of the boot at all. I can criss-cross my toes and still have plenty of wiggle room. I HATE it if my toes feel constricted and mashed together (weird, I know). I wear my regular Adidas socks with them and if I had sized up to a size 8, I would have had WAY too much room at the toe. That being said, when I wear these with my thick boot socks for cold weather, they are much more snug and my toes aren't really comfortable. I can honestly tell you that if I needed these for super cold weather, and mostly intended to wear super thick socks with these, I would have gone up to an 8. My intent is to have these for Spring and Fall rainy seasons and also during Summer when I'm working in the garden. So if you're like me and your foot is half sized, and you plan to wear your regular everyday socks with these, the same ones you would normally wear with your tennis shoes, then make sure you size DOWN to the next whole size. Side note** I am also about 80 lbs. overweight right now and had previously purchased the higher riding boot style from Hunter which proceeded to STRANGLE my calves. I had to return them. So I purchased these and they in no way constrict my calves AT ALL. Lots of room at the top! They are suuuuper cute too!

I read some reviews saying to size up and some size down. I chose to size down... I’m usually a 7 1/2 and got a 7. The boot is very hard to pull over my foot.. however once on it’s a tad bit loose at the toes. So the ankle area of the boot is sort of tight on me. I’m a very skinny person too (115 lbs) and on top of the boot being tight in the ankle its just a touch larger around the calf than I would like. I’m going to wear some boot socks with it to make it look a little less awkward. With all that being said though, I still love these boots. I would just size up rather than down.

I'm glad I didn't listen to the other reviews, I'm usually a 6.5 or 7, and they said this run big, so I almost ordered the size 6. At the end I trusted my instincts and bought the size 7. It fit perfect, it's big enough to wear with thick socks and they feel very comfortable. they don't look like clown shoes, they look just right! So if you're a 6.5-7, stick with size 7! No regrets!! and they look so pretty with leggings and a nice sweater, perfect for fall and winter weather.

I love these original short boots. They came packaged beautifully are and are in perfect condition. The price was definitely right. I am a straight size 7 in shoes. These boots are meant to be a little big so you can wear socks with them which is exactly how they fit for me.

These boots are lovely, I originally brought them as a gift but they didn’t fit so I kept them for myself, I am normally a size 6 and I got a 5 and they fit me, they do come up a bit small around the top, this is the reason they didn’t fit who I was gifting them too, I haven’t worn them out yet so I cannot comment on their performance but they look well made and look like they can withstand a good muddy dog walk, they come in a nice box so would make a lovely gift
