I bought this as a new hobby for my son and I. Im not new to working with my hands and my son is a welder. When I got the unit I put it away until spring of 2020 because of a foot injury that kept me down for the winter. When we opened it and began putting it together I noticed there was no Teflon tape or pipe dope to be seen on the unit though it came a roll of Teflon tape. Sure enough it had several gas leaks forcing me to take the whole thing apart and assemble it properly with Teflon tape This is when I noticed the main gas intake and the mid stream valve were on in reverse order. I fixed that as well and we had no leaks afterward but the main air chock kept igniting and I could not get a proper blue flame from it. Upon inspection I found the pinhole gas jet was pointing up about 20 degrees from the top so the gas was being pushed into the air chock rather down into the burner. Because the pipe was welded to the airchock I could not rotate it to correct the problem. I have made an effort to contact the company but the web site doesn't respond properly so I sent them a direct email. Still no word from them. I would highly recommend NOT buying this unit. Look somewhere else.

Aside from a single cross threaded bolt, it was perfect out of the box. No leaks or other problems, and it was delivered fast. Very satisfied

It seemed to be a good forge. The hinges that are used for the front and back door are thin and warp with heat. The piping for the gas side was not put together correctly and leak in several places. The flame want to blow back up toward the nozzle which can melt the gas hose if it’s not secured.The forge was packed well. All components were wrapped in bubble wrap. The regulator is on the cheap side but works well enough. I have put about 10 hours on this forge.It will work well for most hobby smiths and heats up well above forge welding temp. All in all a good purchase.
