Menu Bottle Grinders Salt and Pepper Mills - Purple

These are really beautiful objects. They are tall (around 8") and have a strong architectural appearance. The material has a very subtle, good, feel to it under your hand, and they really work well and easily. Extremely easy to fill - just pull each of them apart at the middle, fill then put together again. They hold lots of salt/pepper so don't need refilling for a very long time.

Was wondering why this particular colour combo (purple) costs about half the price of the others. Thought it was because it's the smaller size. Turns out one was defective when it arrived. It has a mottled pattern at the top half, clearly not the same smooth uniform look as the other piece in the set. Like another reviewer, it was stuck and wouldn't grind anything. The wood top was also not aligned flat. After fiddling with it for half hour and feeling like I had nothing to lose, I simply forcefully twisted the grinder and it worked! The faulty grinder is now working. Can't do anything about the mottled colour though. Doesn't come off when washed. If a defective item is going to be sold at a much cheaper price, then it should be reflected somwhere in the description as such.

I have been looking for salt and pepper grinders for some time. When i found these I was delighted. They are much easier to use. The material they are made of helps me grip better. I am able to control the grind much better and they hold a much larger amount t of salt and pepper. I would definitely buy more of them.

Great grinder, however the photo appeared they were different shades of purple. Unfortunately they are same so can't tell pepper from salt.
