AMAZING PRODUCT!!!
I am writing a review, as I am a HUGE review reader. How do you know what you are getting if you don't get feedback from people who have bought it, right?! I was a little skeptical at first, as some stated it blocked airflow and created their system to work harder. In reading the reviews, there was a verified buyer that stated she was able to pull the material apart so that the material wasn't so thick. I did this very same thing with ease when I received my filter. It was almost as if you could see exactly where you needed to pull it apart to get half the filter. The other complaint was that the tape was not sticky enough. OK, I am an anal freak about keeping things clean but pulling off my registers throughout the house and cleaning them is not on the top of my cleaning list! LOL! Before putting the tape on the outside of my register, I cleaned the register vent first. I then dried the vent and applied rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball and wiped down the area I was going to apply the sticky side of the Velcro too. This worked like a charm! That Velcro is going nowhere and is fully secured! Not enough Velcro? By taking the time to clean the vent, I used very little Velcro. I cut off about a 1/4 inch for each corner of my vents! So 128 inches of Velcro can go a long way! When applying the filter to the Velcro, I pressed down firmly on one end to make sure the filter was going to stick to the Velcro and then I was able to pull on the filter to make the filter taunt over the register.Does it still keep dust and dander down in the house in using half the thickness of the filter? YES!! IT'S AMAZING!!! Each and every morning I would wake up to my glass top stove covered in dust! Not anymore!! Yes, there were little specs of dust on top of my stove, but nothing like it used to be! Also, there is plenty of air flow moving through the filter, so I don't have to worry about my system working hard. This purchase was a win win for me! I suffer from allergies, and I am a cat owner, which makes things even more challenging for my husband and I throughout the long winters in Wisconsin. It seems my heater is running consistently, as I am now working out of my home. A person doesn't realize how much dust is flying around in the air until you have to work in it all day. I absolutely love this product and I feel that the amount of product you get for the price is sufficient.

5 stars, dense but works, read my comments/review.
At first we thought it was too dense for air vent covers but gave them a try, through trial and error we now rate this a 5 star product with a HUGE exception; the supplied velcro is worthless. To counter that problem we used “GREATMAG 60 Name Badge Magnets, Magnetic Name Badge Holders, Magnetic Name Tags with 3 Magnets”, super strong magnets, small measurements that hold the filter material very taunt to the vent cover (we use 8 per vent, three top & bottom then one on each side), works like a charm and makes removing/replacing a breeze. To match decor we merely spray painted them white and they are hardly noticeable. We do not cover every vent, just the ones closet to us in bedrooms, living room etc... where we spend most of our time, we noticed if all vents were covered the central heating/cooling was taking too long to do it’s thing. The material does remove a lot of unwanted particles and is fairly dense, just use common sense. Our heating/cooling guy said not covering all vents was a good idea and to NOT cover air intake vents, he recommended we let the main ac/heater filter handle that job.Huge improvement in air quality, amazing what debris comes out of ducts and vents the filter material catches. We plan on buying more to have on hand if that says anything. If there’s any small negative there is not a lot of material for $14 but comparing that price to 3M filtrete makes it a decent price/deal.

Good but..
The media could not be loaded. Good value for the money, very easy to cut and easy to install. Thick for my needs, used as-is it restricted air flow, but was able to easily split the material and I am now actually getting double for the money from that pov. The velcro tape is not enough if you have several large vents you need to cover. I am using this on the supply side of my window/wall ac units and the vents are about 19x4 inches and I need velcro tape all around to hold in place. I expect these to dramatically reduce dust (and mold) that's blown in by my cemented into the wall, window air conditioners. Will do an update in a little while when I change the filters.UPDATE - its been a while now since my first review and had a chance to test out the efficacy of this product. The morning after placing the filter over the output end of my ac as you can see in the video, part of it had come unglued... not the filter off of the tape, but the tape off of the AC. It wouldn't stick and stay back on after that. I had done the same thing to a different AC and over there everything stayed in place to this day. I guess you should make sure the tape is fully glued to a solid surface and maybe let it sit for a minute before turning the AC on - if you are going to use it in the same manner I did.I did notice however that even tho air was flowing thru the filter (which I had split in half) the room was staying at a higher temperature than the setting on the AC or than it was before installing the filter... and it felt like the AC unit was working harder too, sadly, I had to undo the filter in parts and actually ended removing it altogether on the other unit.I really wanted this to work and I'm still thinking of ways of making it work.. perhaps if I try an even thinner layer.. or maybe use it during the cooler months (I live in Miami)..
