You will need a ¼ in socket wrench or screwdriver that accepts ¼ in bits. 1. Remove the bipod from your rifle 2. Loosen the tension knob nut 3. Place your finger over the cross pin on the opposite side of the bipod so that it doesn’t fall out when you remove the tension knob nut. 4. Remove the tension knob nut with your wrench and set aside. 5. Remove the tension knob with your hand. (Keep your finger on the cross pin) 6. Place the black spacer over the bolt. 7. Carefully line up the thread of the S-Lock and screw it on by hand. 8. Your S-Lock installation is complete.
