I used these refill pads with a paint edger tool I borrowed to paint my vaulted ceiling walls. It was my first time so I don't have anything to compare to. The nap on the pads have a direction and I felt like I was fighting it as I slid the tool along my wall. Ideally, there shouldn't be a nap or it should go in the same direction side to side as the tool. The edges of the pad are too long for my tool and didn't fit in the groove. As I used the tool, the pad would work its way down as I pressed and slid the tool along the top edge of the wall. I'd recommend cutting the edges to make it fit within the tool's tabs so it doesn't slide.

I am in the middle of painting and updating some rooms in our 90s house. I truly rely on using paint edger tools (especially for the edge of the ceiling since I am short) and I usually buy my refills from the usual local stores. I was delighted to find this six pack of edger refills to keep in hand at a great price. The bristles are thick and more high quality than the ones I get in a 2 pack locally. These refills easily slipped onto both of the edger tools that I had. Great set to have on hand before you paint so you don’t get caught without any refills.
