Low tracking, strong clumps, no lingering odor. Walnut > Clay & Grass Seed
Very pleased. Cat accepted. -Maine Coon -I scoop daily -Cat goes #1 and #2 once a day, sometimes #1 twice -Smaller size box (16"L x 12"W x 4"H). Litter is 1" deep. Used bigger boxes in the past, but she' fine with small. -box is in a large, well ventilated litter box cabinet near an air filter. -tracking, I keep chinelle mat (looks like sea anenome) in front of the cabinet exit to catch and trim the paw hair. -no litter additives for fragrance/odor Clumps form solid, stay together, easy to scoop. Even when still a little wet, the clump stays intact or a piece might break off. Minimal of any flaking off small pieces of clump. I haven't had lingering odor issues. The tiny bits of clumps flaking off was my issue with grass seed litter. Thought I'd try and alternative to grass seed litter (SmartCat). Grass seed litter was clumping well, but maybe 1% would fall off. That 1% accumulates creating lingering odor and I'd have to dump the whole box every month. I tried using box additives, Sprinkle & Sweep worked best but is $$. Arm & Hammer made things worse. I'm not having dust issues. I keep clean litter in a 5 gallon bucket. When I need to add more to the box, I scoop some out with an up-cycled plastic container for nuts. My cat digs in the box, but no dust. Some prices of course get out, but using less litter helps. Tracking has been way down, almost to nothing. Grass seed tracked and would fill up the mat. I do all the basic stuff to limit tracking, but grass seed would still get out. This barely tracks and not as much is getting left in the mat either. My cat doesn't cover #2, but has sometimes covered with this litter. Not sure why, but at least it spares me the usual smell of doom ☠️ Overall, pretty good. Probably will switch over. Cost is good and I like the quality. **Edit: 6 Month Update: I just repurchased this litter — and yes, I was practically doing cartwheels in my apartment (🤸) because I don’t have tracked litter everywhere anymore. I’m glad I ordered a few weeks early — cat products sometimes go on backorder, and I don’t want to go without this. Here's my comments on performance: Odor Control: Since switching from grass seed to walnut litter, I haven’t had to dump or bleach the litter box at all. No lingering urine smell — it just works. Tracking: Hardly any tracking. Most of the mess has been my own fault (like forgetting to seal the bag properly). I’ve only seen tiny clumps (~1/8") outside the box maybe three times, and that was when my cat needed a paw pad trim. Between flat cleanings, I might spot 2–3 individual grains max if I'm really looking for them. Litter Mat: I use one of those “sea anemone” style mats, and it catches nearly everything. Less walnut litter is trapped by the mat and a few grains evading the mat that other litter types, which means this little product somehow stays in the box and not on the cat. I now go longer between mat shake-outs, I do it monthly, but could go longer. Dust: The only time I see noticeable dust is when pouring the whole bag into the storage bin. Otherwise, it’s minimal — nothing like the red or brown dust I used to get with other natural litters. I wiped down the area with cleaner recently and only found normal household dust. Bottom line: This litter has been a game changer — low tracking, low odor, and low maintenance. Highly recommend sticking with it if it’s working for you. Also, love that this comes from US grown walnuts 🇺🇲 🚜🌳. Whoever figured out how to create this product, thank you!!

Well... I like it.
This is by far my favorite cat littler I have had so far. I have used traditional clumping clay litter, newspaper litter, World's Best and this is my favorite. Dusty: It still is dusty. It's probably just as dusty as the World's Best litter. It's also brown, so there is a light brown layer of dust everywhere. Smell: There is no urine smell. I do clean the litter box twice everyday though. But typically even if I only do it once a day, it still doesn't smell at all. I have used the traditional clumping clay litter and I don't like it. It smells like perfume/soap and it doesn't mask the urine smell. It mixes together making a weird smell that I hate. Clumping: It clumps great. Unless there is not a lot of litter in the box, it clumps fine for me. I have purchased this both in a store and online through Amazon, and I haven't had any problems with clumping. The only time I had problems is when I got the green bag which is just the "clumping" one. That one doesn't clump as well as the red bag of "multi-cat" litter. Tracking: My cat has tracked every kind of litter I have. She is a medium length haired cat with tuffs of longer fur on her paws that I feel like have suction cups for litter. Yes, I have trimmed her paw hairs (with minimal agitation to the cat before) and she still tracked litter. I have also used litter that advertises themselves as "no tracking" which NEVER worked for my cat. I used pellet litter thinking, she can't possibly track large pellets of litter. It was a taller littler box so I know she wasn't kicking out of the litter box. But to my unfortunate surprise, she still tracked pellets. PELLETS! It like she grows thumbs and grabs a handful of litter every time she exited the litter box. The only thing that worked is the top entry litter boxes. While that hasn't stopped the tracking completely, she now only tracks what I feel like is only 5% of what she was tracking before. Color: Yup, its brown. It's dark brown, and my cat actually has had a urinary track infection that I didn't know about until she dribbled bloody urine outside of her litter box. The poor gal probably had it for a period of time that makes me look like I neglected her. I felt awful. So if your cat is known to have kidney issues or prone to urinary track infections, you may want to consider a litter where you can see bloody urine. Hopefully my cat hasn't gotten a UTI since that happened now that I mention it. Maybe I should take my own advice. Uh-oh.... Conclusion: Other than just now questioning whether or not I should continue using this litter, I am happy with it. I wish it wasn't as dusty but I haven't found anything that works as well as Blue Buffalo. Good luck with your litter adventures.

Best cat litter I've ever used!
I had ordered the multi-cat regular litter of this product, but was sent the Unscented, Multi-Cat Ultra Odor Control version instead. I've been using the regular for a few years and thought it was pretty awesome. I didn't think it could get much better, but when I received this by mistake, I figured I'd give it a try rather than send it back. Our cat won't leave our bedroom because she's afraid of our dog, even though the dog visits her and they get along just fine, well I guess as well as a big dog and a cat can get along. But she's just a wuss. At our old house, the cat owned the top floor and we were able to keep the box in a spare bedroom. We moved to a ranch and the utility room is on the opposite side of the house, so we set up the litter box in the master bathroom. I scoop it several times a day so odor was never a problem. But after a while the smell would start to get a little funky. With this stuff, I can't even tell we have a cat. I went away for a month and figured I'd smell 'cat' when I got home. I thought maybe my husband was able to get her to use the utility room, or he hid the box somewhere, but that wasn't the case. Not only does this product not smell, but I see a whole lot less litter all over my bathroom and bedroom. And there's a whole lot less dust. I can sweep once a day rather than three times a day now and really can't smell anything regardless of whether I scoop it or not. She still tracks some of it, but I don't see as much of it all over. I've been using the multi-cat version of the regular because I think it performed better and left less mess all over the room and wasn't dusty, and it would end up being tracked all over the house, even though she won't leave the room. The multi-cat versions of this litter work better, regardless of how many cats you have in the house. I didn't think such a great product could be improved, but this stuff is the bomb. And, you can't even tell there's a cat living in the house. Now if I could only get her to come out of the bedroom...

A little stinky but otherwise good
I have some mixed feelings about this kitty litter, but most them are going to apply to basically every cat litter out there, I think. I do think overall this is a great choice. It is an improvement in every way from clay littler. Almost no dust! I used to wear a mask to scoop my litter box, and no longer need to. Odor control is somewhat decent; I feel like I have a hard time rating this because I have three cats, and I know that makes a big difference in how well odor is contained. It lasts longer than clay littler for sure. Urine takes awhile to clump so don't rush to clean it; I do mine only once a day or once every other day, and that seems to be the best. If you clean it too soon after the cats pee, the urine soaked granules crumble and it contributes to additional odors. There is a funky ammonia smell a bit after they first use it, but this seems to fade if left alone. I use it with a litter deodorizer and that really helps. It does track quite a bit, but not as bad as clay at all, and there's no 'white paw prints' left everywhere. Stray pieces are easy to sweep up.

BUY IT!!
Don't hestitate. Just buy it. (Litter)ally the best cat litter of all time. I have tried all kinds of cat litter (Sand clumping, pellets, tidy cats, etc) but they always small after use so quick! After months of searching, I found this and glad I did. My three young cats took to it really quick and prefers it. Probably because it rids all the smell. No more stinky poop and pee, no more gagging after each change. I don't need to wear a mask when scooping to mask out the smell or worry so much about the dust. It still leaves some dust but not as much as compared to other litter. Plus it's much cheaper than all other litter. It's way lighter so although this is a 26lb bag, you get a lot! I also bought the 40 lbs of this and the amount is double the amount of 40 lbs Dr. Elsey's Ultra Premium Clumping and it lasts much longer since it doesn't smell! I change out the litter only when it starts to smell which is in about every 2-3 weeks. But that's with 3 cats sharing 1 automatic litter robot. So if you only have 1 cat, you only have to change out every month or longer. The only downside is that the litter is dark which means you can't really see if there is blood or not in their poop. Hopefully that will change. For now I mix it with the lighter color litter sand. The other downside is it doesn't clump as well so some of the pee would stick to the bottom of the litter robot but I don't mind it much. With a typical litter box bins, it should not be a problem.

Effective cat litter
The best brand of cat litter hands down in my opinion. I've been using this cat litter for several years now. I have allergies and this is low dust I don't smell anything from the box it has a very very light scent of like Walnut kind of like a very mild Woody scent absolutely love it. It does not track a lot and it does not get stuck in between my cat's toes as they do have long hair. Love the absorption rate

The only litter I buy now.
I can’t say enough about this litter. I’ve probably reviews it before. The litter itself has a pleasant earthy smell, very little dust, and works extremely well for odor control despite having multiple cats. I will say the dogs are now extra prone to trying the litter box as a snack bar but my dogs are idiots so that might just be a them thing.

Meh
They give you a LOT for this price compared to clay litter, but I still am unsure if I like it or not. It doesn't track much at all and my cats seem to like it. It clumps pretty well. Although I will say I've noticed it gives off this pungent sweet smell when it gets wet. That's better than the pee and poop smell I guess but it still throws me off every time I clean the boxes. I'm also not entirely sure how well it handles smell compared to clay litter. When I first put it in I mixed it with clay litter so the cats would get used to it and it seemed to handle the smell very well. Now it's mostly this litter (since most of the clay litter seems to have clumped and been scooped) and it kinda seems like it doesn't maintain the lack of smell as long as it used to. I'm likely gonna use the rest of the bag but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Great in a traditional litter box
I love the smell and consistency of this product in a traditional litter box that I am scooping regularly. However, I just upgraded to a robot litter box and this product does not work well in it, it is too dusty and makes the machine dirty quickly, as well as it does not clump fast enough for the machines dump timing after my cat has gone in the litter box. So if you have a robot litter box avoid this product but if you have a traditional litter box or sifting litter box this product is my favorite.

Good litter but fruit flys seem to enjoy it to
I love that this litter holds smells great and seems to clump well. I love that it’s natural as well as I hate clay litter. I have been using this litter for 3 months now and in the last month in a half I’ve noticed fruit flys all over the closet the litter box is kept it . There is no food stored anywhere around the closet and no food being left out either and yet every time I open the closet to scoop the litter I get a face full of fruit flys. I have almost 0 anywhere else except for by the litter . When I go to scoop it they almost seem to be flying up from the litter .

La meilleure litière selon moi
Fantastique! J'adore!

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T BUY THIS
This litter is not as dusty as other clay litters, so after reading other reviews, I had high hopes and decided to try it out. I tried it both in normal litter box and my Litter Robot, it sucks in both situations. Other than being not as dusty, it's so far the worst clumping litter ever. The clump is not hard so it's very easy to break and fall apart when you scoop. And the odour is not controlled at all like the description said. Everyday I come home to a horribly strong urine odour. For the Litter Robot, the clumps are not hard enough so it's also easy to break. At the same time, the litter is too light weight so somehow most of it got dumped into the waste compartment along with the waste matters. 1/10 Not recommend.
