Undated A5 Diary with Roster View – Premium Feel on a Budget
2026 is the year I’m getting organised. New Year New Me and all that jazz!😀 So I decided I’m going to need a diary, this one popped up for a potential review on the Vine program so I decided this was the one. It’s a very simple looking diary, in fact you wouldn’t know it was one if you just looked at the cover. The outside of the diary is PU (vegan) leather which is very soft. The texture is split, a soft plain texture on the bottom with a corduroy-like texture on the top. You can tell that it’s going for a premium look but it just doesn’t quite make it. It feels very soft to the touch though. The outside also sports an elastic strap and pen holder. The paper inside is heavier than I would have expected in a £7.99 diary. I use a ballpoint so no issue of bleeding but I doubt fountain pen users will have any issues either. With some coaxing the diary will lie flat. The diary also comes with two strands of ribbon attached to act as bookmarks. Inside the diary you get: 2-year to half-a-page calendars with the dates not yet filled in which offers some versatility 1 page of important dates using squared paper A yearly schedule that spans two pages - great for people who work rosters 2 pages that contain a monthly plan A contents page About 190 lined pages, each with somewhere to write the date and page number See photos for the above pages It’s a pretty good diary, I can see a use for all of the extra planning sheets before the actual diary pages. The only issue I do have is that there’s about 223 working days in the UK (removing weekends, bank holidays and let’s assume you have 30 days leave) so it falls a little short. The diary does let you fill the dates as you go though so it's not like they’ve cut off half of December. Pros: Nice feeling cover with pen holder Thick paper Versatile planning pages The price Cons: Not enough pages if you’re intent on using it every day Price wise, £7.99 is nothing if you actually use it. The cover is lacking a bit but the page quality makes up for it.

Very attractive notebook
I got this XLOXFU A5 Lined Diary Notebook in dark green. Firstly, I am using this as a notebook as opposed to a diary. The layout of the product makes it very good for this as using it as a diary requires that you write the date at the top of each page, which is more a journal in my opinion. Aside from the lines notes pages, there are also a few pages relating to monthly & yearly schedules, a 2 year overview and an important dates page. The quality of the paper used is very good and pleasant to write on. The cover looks smart, made of PU leather and finished nicely with the top half being ridged and the bottom plain. It makes this notebook stand out against those that are simply plain with a hard or softback cover. There's an elasticated closure built in to keep everything closed and also a pen holder at the side, both of which are in keeping with the green theme. This is a lovely A5 notebook that will last a while. Good value for money.

Lined notebook with soft flexible plastic cover
This diary/notebook is available in a number of colour options, I own pink the as pictured in the product description is a fair representation of the colour. It has a soft semi flexible plastic cover which looks like nothing I’ve seen before and I think the two different textures alongside each other works really well together. The upper part with the ridged texture looks like corduroy but is in fact a matt plastic, possibly silicone? Apart from looking nice it’s also pleasant to handle. The book has all the features described in the product description, elastic closure, elastic pen loop, pocket in the inside back cover and it also has two different coloured ribbon markers which is really useful. The book measures the full standard A5 size but doesn’t look quite as thick in real life as it appears in the product description. The thickness of the book including the front and back covers in 1.7cm and without the covers is 1.3cm. This is described as a diary but I think it’s primarily a notebook. If you want a diary buy one that is clearly labelled as a diary. If you are after a diary but are starting one in the middle of the year this wouldn’t be a bad choice as the you would need to enter the dates yourself, they are not ready printed. There is a calendar but it isn’t a calendar for any specific year so you would have to enter the days of the week for each month. I’m planning on using this as notebook and most probably with ignore the diary element which only takes up a couple of pages at the front and also the small date part at the top of each lined page. The paper quality is lovely as is the unique cover but I’m not sure that this is worth the current price of £9.99, I think maybe a couple of £s less.

Quality, practicality, and style
With 192 lined pages, there’s plenty of room for journaling, note‑taking, planning, and creative writing. The paper quality is excellent — smooth, thick, and resistant to bleed‑through with most pens I’ve tried. Writing feels effortless, and the lines provide just the right amount of guidance without being too bold. The design is simple yet stylish, appealing equally to women and men. Whether you’re using it as a personal diary, daily planner, or work notebook, it feels versatile and reliable. The notebook also lays flat when open, which makes writing much more comfortable.
