This looks amazing, thank you all for the responses to my color question. The bronze (rose-gold) Nest looks great with the Copper plate. The quality is great and was extremely easy to install. Thanks again!

This is a a great product. The Nest should ship with this instead of the stupid rectangle plastic plate. I almost gave it 4 stars because finish looks anodized but the color (silver model) is too light for the nest's stainless finish and the back is completely flat so you can't use the nest's metal mounting plate behind that to attach it to the wall. But I decided those were too minor to take a whole star. It is very solid, thick and heavy. Great product for the money.

Much better than the original one in Nest packaging. It covered old thermostat's paint mark, and spot.

Excellent fit and good quality!

 Not quite the same color as the copper Nest, which is why I removed a star. The difference is very apparent in the light. However, it still looks nice enough that we are keeping it. This plate is definitely high quality, well cast metal. (See the video. You can hear how well it's made in how well it resonates when wacked with a hard object. Pieces with flaws won't do this.) Plate is very sturdy, yet nicely finished. We did have to use our own screw in wall anchors on all four holes to get everything secure. Also had to tape two washers on the back of the nest controller, aligned with the top and bottom holes, to fill the gap created by the screw heads so the unit wouldn t wobble or bend. Meh, nothing in home improvement is ever as straightforward as you think it will be.All in all, I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to family and friends who want a more elegant finish to their nest while also covering the hole from the old thermostat.
