Got this for our FREENAS server . The noise difference is noticeable compared to the normal desktop drives we used to have . write/read speeds are really fast and i would highly recommend this drive to anyone else. If your planning on holding important data on the drive just a heads up that its best to buy 2 and do a clone of each other , although seagate offer a data recovery guarantee with this i still wouldn't want to put anything to chance.

Reliable and decently fast drive not too loud perfect for media archiving

I bought two of these 14TB drives for my Synology DS223J NAS. So far they are working great! NO bad sectors or any other issue. They seem to be reliable hard drives. They aren't noisy at all. I have the NAS under my bed and I can barely hear it. They are decently priced compared to the competition. I highly recommend this product!

Go big with your storage, have never had a problem with these. They are a little noisy when they’re being used, however, they’re disks. I almost never really hear it, it sits behind me in my office about a foot away.

Whats to say, its (so far) a good working hdd, used it as a replacement for an older drive in my synology nas
