Great book. A must read cover to cover for every NIR out there.

I am a graduating radiology resident headed for dx neuro fellowship and strong interest in neuro vascular disease and considering ESN fellowship in the future. This is a superb introductory text with really good illustrations particularly of anatomic variants and the basics of angiographic techniques. This book was very helpful when I was preparing general lectures for residents and students on topics such as aneurysms and vascular malformations. Very readable.A few cons: the stroke chapter is not up to date regarding recent trials and (new) standard of care. The book is (as titled) focused on angiography and is excellent for such. I do however wish it also covered nonvascular spine and head&neck intervention (spine biopsies, injections, augmentation, head and neck biopsies, etc).

The media could not be loaded.  This is the best neuroangiography book.Pearse Morris is a brilliant guy. He likes teaching, he writes well and the book has great drawings and images.The first edition was great and the book has been improved since then with color added to illustrations.Covers angio technique and vascular anatomy.I am a neuroradiologist who works with cerebrovascular anatomy every day and when I have a challenging case, this is the best book to refer to.

Even though it's one of the better neuroangiography books, that isn't saying much since there aren't any neuroangiography books that I've found that are both in-depth and practical. I find it slightly disorganized and lacking in some scholarly topics and anatomical discussion.

Disorganized discussion. Confusing diagrams and pretentious language makes for a difficult read. Example: "Modern techniques of manufacture allow refinement of these instruments such that the wires and catheters each have a multisegmental composition, providing the theoretical versatility of being able to take advantage of a greater array of behavioral traits in a given team of instruments. While these refinements are undoubtedly propitious, they compel the angiographer to a greater analysis of instrument behavior whenever severe navigational difficulties are encountered. Specifically, when having difficulties with catheterization of a particular vessel, the precise point of failure in the system of instruments then in hand must be identified before an intelligent modification or replacement of an instrument can be countenanced. Exculpatory accounts that the vessels were “too tortuous” can be avoided by analyzing the precise reason for failure of the current instruments." Phew. Look elsewhere.
