StrongArm 6110PR Nissan Pathfinder, Liftgate Lift Support, Pair Pack of 2

SUPER easy to install and way cheaper than we were quoted from the dealer for a replacement set! These snapped right on my 2011 Pathfinder and work perfectly! They open the hatch all the way and hold it open without being hard to close which is a problem I had heard about some replacement struts. Will buy these again if I ever need to replace again!

Not being mechanically inclined I was skeptical on installing this myself. I was pleasantly surprised! It was easy enough to take the old Lift Supports off (watched a youtube vid) and installing the new ones were a SNAP literally! I no longer have the my suv's liftage fall down on me. Easy peazy!My SUV also has a rear window on the liftgate that uses smaller lift supports as well, got a set of those too. Even easier to install if that's possible and working great!Don't endure more knocks on the head and get these now!

At first these showed a lot of promise. They held it up and did it very well. it was nice as well because even though they were new it didnt cause my lift gate to launch up and break my face. unforunately, I am already finding less than 8 months later that it doesnt always hold the gate completely open. Or at least that it wont completely open on its own. It holds it at the top on its own just fine. but the issue is that I have to push it the last few inches. which are very important because thats the difference between me breaking my skull or not.

These installed quickly and easily. However, they are not strong enough. They only lift it to about 80% of the way and I have to manually push the lift gate to fully opened position. Once there, they will just hold it. Sending back.

Since I'm out of the US and these weren't available for delivery to an APO address. had em delivered within the States,then forwarded to me via DHL ...and get this....paid less than half of what the dealership was quoting.The installation itself was very easy literally took less than 5 minutes.As other reviewers have said, you only need a flat head screw-driver and someone to hold your sagging tail gate.I couldn't find any Pathfinder specific installation videos on YouTube but there are others where the connecting mechanism is the same as the Pathfinders .Look at these videos,look at the ends of these Strongarm 6110's and you'll get the gist of it.After installing these,the tailgate rises up by itself once I open and raise it a few inches.To close -I'm having to push it down from fully opened to ~ the half-way point and it does the rest. Granted its only a few weeks old at this point, but the feel when opening & closing is strong & solid and hopefully will continue to be so for sometime.

I have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder which, among MANY other problems, HAD rear hatch lifters that had worn out. On cold days, the old lifters wouldn't work at all. I'd open the rear hatch fully, let it go, and it would slowly close fully by itself..I called the dealership and they wanted twice what these cost so this was a no brainer. My dad and I installed these AND the window lift supports within probably 10 minutes. The hatch went from not being able to stay open to opening pretty much by itself once I opened it about half way.These are AWESOME. I usually don't bother to review items but these are great.

They work, however they are not the best as far as quality but they do the job and they are not expensive. They do hold up fine but I have to push my tail gate up for it to open all the way towards the end.

We have a 2006 Pathfinder and got tired of bonking our heads on the lift gate. After time, and especially in cold weather, it would go up and then sag so we knew the lift supports needed replaced. Neither of us are very handy, so we asked our garage how much it would be for them to replace these. They quoted us at $193.00! NO WAY was I paying that. So, I bought these and figured it couldn't be THAT hard - especially after I read some of these reviews.The shipping was incredibly fast. Like someone else posted, the directions aren't real clear, but honestly, you don't even really need step by step instructions - it's pretty simple. And I'm a woman! :)My husband held up the lift gate while I pried the clips off with a screwdriver. Simple. The old arms popped right off and the new arms popped right on. I couldn't believe it! We were finished with both arms in about 5 minutes. I couldn't believe that our garage was going to charge us $193.00!Anyway, to wrap it up, I HIGHLY recommend these lift supports and trust me - if I can install these, ANYONE can install these.
