I did it...you should too
Works great and color matches my truck. After all, that is important. Well, to me at least. It was easy to program. Took maybe 30 secs for 2 remotes. Their website provides easy instructions that you look up using your vehicle year, make, and model. Once you enter this info you'll be taken to a product page. At the bottom you will see a link to print instructions. Clicking on it will download a pdf or MS word file. You do not have to print it. After you do exactly what is said in the instruction you're all set. They do come with batteries. I read other reviews before buying and saw some negative ratings. At $10 for a pair, if they work at all that's a good start. I recently bought a 2002 Ford f150 that came with a key. That was it. So having kids I needed a quicker way of unlocking doors to prevent the "kid pull". You know, when you haven't unlocked the doors so they run up to your vehicle and start yanking on your door handles. Yea, I hate that crap. So these were a must have. The range isn't perfect but my factory Acura key fob doesn't have range for crap either. Now if you park a mile away then no, it won't work. I got a range of about 500 ft, holding it to my chin. Which was perfect. Cut that in half if you dont want to look like you lost your mind. I live in a small town, everyone already knows I'm crazy so I dont care. Sooooo, in conclusion, I recommend these. They will work close enough for you to see your vehicle and know you aren't unlocking it for someone to sneak in before you get there. Easy to program with clear, short instructions. Affordable. You don't have to buy batteries. There were color options (I got the red ones and it is a nice color). 100% recommend

Great item at a great price.
This is the second set I have purchased. They are fairly easy to program and work well. They are also pretty durable, I'm a contractor and constantly going in and out of my van so I put a lot more wear and tear on them than the average person. The first set lasted me about 2 years before I wore them out and I had no problems during that time so I reordered them again. The price is certainly right compared to what they charge for them at a dealership, locksmith, or auto parts store.

or anything nice. Considering they cost around $9 for the pair
Ordered this pair of keyless remotes for a 2001 escape. I only have 1 original key for my truck, and its getting a bit worn. Unfortunately to make a copy of the transponder key i would either need 2 original keys or pay a hefty fee to a ford dealer for a cut/re-program. So in hopes of extending the life of my solo key, i ordered the remotes so that i would only need the key for ignition, and remotes for door action. I can say, that i had both remotes programmed in about 30 seconds, and both worked immediately. I cant speak as to the longevity of the remotes, they are standard little plastic things. Not rubbery, or anything nice. Considering they cost around $9 for the pair, i dont think i could care less. For now, these are awesome and if i have to replace them in 6 months, big deal. I'm rating 4 stars simply because of the basic materials used. It would have been great to get some rubbery waterproofy type covering instead of the hard plastic, but functionality, it does what it says. To program my 2001 ford, 1) i put my key in the ignition 2) turned to ACCESSORY (usually 1 click forward with the key, DO NOT START YOUR CAR) 3) turned the car OFF with the key 4) repeat 7 more times, on the 8th time, do not turn the car off.. leave it in accessory mode 4a) to clarify... on/off on/off on/off on/off on/off on/off on/off ON....... (all this was done in about 10 seconds, very quickly, i dont know if there is some sort of timeout for this, so just do it rapidly, but dont break your key in the ignition...) 5) your car locks will cycle when you turn the car to accessory on the 8th time. 6) when you hear the locks cycle, press any button on your remote. if you have 2 remotes, press a button on one, then a button on the other. 7) PAYDIRT. thats it. you now have working remotes for you car for $9.

Completely worthless.
I'm not normally one to give bad reviews, however in this case I have no choice at all. These simply are useless. To start with the product shipped fast and came with fairly complete instructions. The remotes were compatible with my vehicle and the programming was in fact quite simple. They look exactly like the OEM remote on the outside and I was quite excited. Programming was quick and simple and seemed to go of without a flaw. Lock unlock everything worked although I found it odd that unlike the OEM remote it failed to activate the lights or horn acknowledgement of function. Though I was not much concerned by that. I gave the keys back to my girlfriend and sent her off secure that the system was working. Immediately the next day I get informed the remote does not work at all. As this is my first time doing this I assume perhaps I made a mistake somewhere and go back over the directions. When she gets home I go through and program again with the same results, everything worked until I leave the car and try it again. No response. A few more does and I realize the remote only operates from inside the car, and only when held near the dash for that matter. Wondering if perhaps it's a battery issue I swap the battery from a different unit that I know is working. Same result. I attempt to program the second remote I got in the two pack. It behaves the same way. Finally frustrated I pull all the remotes apart. It is here I can see a difference. An extra chip on the circuit board of this product that is not on my original remote. I have no idea if it has anything to do worth the utter failure of having range or not but it was the only difference I could see. Finally I ended up cannibalizing the exterior of the new remote and putting the chip from my original in the nice new casing. The replacement remotes were junk as far as I was concerned. Being able to only remotely lock myself into my vehicle was not what I wanted. I can not imagine anyone does.

Good for price, expect weak battery, and weak plastic
The loop for the key ring is really weak, breaks far easier than the factory keyfobs. We received them and both worked, 1 died after about 4 weeks though. Fresh battery did get it working again but after about 9 months the loop broke so it now sits in the glovebox. They do work although both of them struggle to open the passenger door, have to push the button 4 or 5 times before it unlocks the passenger door. Driver door unlocks every time, although the range for them is about 1/3 of what the factory fob is. I can trigger the alarm or unlock with the factory fob from about 150' away. I have to be aboue 30-40 feet away for both of these. All that said, for the price of these, vs the $80 Ford wants, I don't regret buying them. I don't know that I can say I'd recommend them though, for what it's worth.

Great key fob replacement!
These are awesome!! Just paired them tonight(Ford F150) so can't speak to longevity yet but they paired easily and they are at a great price compared to local stores who want 25 dollars at least for JUST the shell and over 60 dollars for a replacement fob like these.
