Seems like an 'entry level' grinder. About the same quality as many home center grinders in the same price range... Made in china, so I'm not expecting much. I'm sure that the salesman from Fein will tout it as being held to their QC, same spiel as I got from Craftsman about when they moved the mfg to china for their wrenches... Uh, no...

Received on 1/3/2018 and had a faulty switch right out of the box. I purchased this only because Fein used to have high-quality tools, made in Germany. Maybe some of them still are but this one was not. I use many 4-1/2" grinders daily in my fab shop with Bosch being my go-to brand, but wanted to give this one a shot. This one was made in China and does not look much better than those you can buy at Harbor Fr****t. Disappointed.

I bought this primarily because of the good reviews, and for the small size and low vibration. I have carpal tunnel, but still need to work!I find this quite a bit easier to use than a "regular" angle grinder, which I can use for only a few minutes before having to rest my hands, and can only use a few times a day, because of the weight and vibration.It is agile, for an angle grinder, and I am pleased with it.

If I want some China junk I go to Harbor Freight (and I never go there!). Fein customers want QUALITY made in Germany! Stop going the cheap route like every other tool brand!

I ordered 2 of these for the Shop. They're definitely better than the Horror-Freight grinders. I am very disappointed to see that they were, in fact, made in china. I thought i was buying a german tool. Sadly enough, i just bought more chinese made stuff. Not happy about that at all, regardless of the quality. I will not buy Fein again because of this. Should have bought a Metabo instead.
