Diary o a Wimpy Wean: Diary of a Wimpy Kid in Scots (Scots Edition)

This is a translated version of Diary of a Wimpy kid. My son loves this books and can't get enough of them. I thought this was a spin off and didn't realize it was a translated version of the Wimpy kid book.

Thought it was a new book like many of the other purchasers. Needs to have a bigger heading describing this. Underhanded in my opinion due to the way it came in as recommended. My son won't read it. To the trash bin this will go. Don't waste your money.

Love the series, loved the book

My 11 year old grandson has been reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid since he was born, practically, I saw this edition when ordering gifts-and thought I was ordering the latest edition. I was surprised when it was Scottish! But, my maiden name was Bruce and I thought we might learn another language together😉. He was open to this suggestion and is looking forward to learning a language with his friends.

Don’t buy this book if you think you are getting a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid! I got this as a pre-order and thought it was a new book! Such a waste! It is the original bookwritten in Scottish! My son is disappointed and I wasted money!

Was not happy with this book at all 😡 i even pre ordered it. Amazon had it like it was a new release turns out to be the first copy and worst it's in Scots which we cant even understand and its extremely hard to read. I bought it as a surprise gift for my child sadly he has no interest in it waste of money it dont deserve a star but had to put one to post my review

Bought 2 of these as wee surprises for my grandsons. I've given 5 stars because they arrived quickly & the boys both said they like them. So I hope that's true & not just them being polite, although obviously I want them to be polite.They both liked the original version of this book, & I thought this Scottish translation would be a bit of fun for them.

I ordered this as a pre release as it was advertised as a new release of the DOWK series. It is not - it is the first book of the series translated in Scots. For the life of me I do not know why they were promoting pre orders of this 'new release' on Canadian Amazon! Regardless big disappointment for our son. RETURNING IT!
