Pocket Knife Book
This is a great book on the care and use of a pocket knife, primarily geared toward kid projects. I liked the simple gnome and boat projects.

did not like it enough to keep it, so I returned it. It has some whittleing projects inside, but nothing that I was interested in trying to make, thus I returned it. Did not have any problem in doing that

Engaging and informative.
I bought this book to give to my daughter for her eleventh birthday, asking with her first pocket knife (I chose the Victorinox Camper, which seemed to have all the tools she'd need without being too bulky for her hands).Being already familiar with Felix' work through his YouTube channel, I expected his projects would be fun, and I wasn't disappointed. There are quite a few projects, starting with simple ones and building skills to the more complex ones. My daughter likes the look of all of them and can't wait to start! There is also an excellent section at the front explaining proper use of the knife, including safety, different cuts you can use with the different blades, and even sharpening. Many of these things are automatic for a more experienced knife user, but Felix breaks it down in simple terms - and I'm glad of it, because a lot of it I wouldn't think to mention! The book is very well illustrated, with lots of colour photos of the project steps, of children and adults working on them, and of Felix himself demonstrating. Lots to keep children interested in reading!I'd definitely recommend this book as a companion to a first Swiss Army knife. It's simple and engaging enough to inspire children, either with parental guidance for younger children or to allow older children to read and absorb before putting into practice (preferably with adult supervision!). But it also offers plenty for the adult reader who may be whittling for the first time. Lots of ideas and techniques which can be learned and then applied for more advanced projects, either with a pocket knife or even with other tools.

Felix Immler writes about what he knows and has a very great love of everything Victorinox/Swiss-Army Knife, well written and easy to understand, kids and oldies alike will enjoy this book? and should think of getting his other book (The Swiss Army Knife Book: 63 Outdoor Projects) as it is another great read for all! who enjoy whittling on a stick, venture outdoors with your knife of course take plenty of plasters. Only buy if you read German.
This book is confusing and Amazon should be more clear about it. They show a book with a cover that is in English, when it arrives it isn't, I believe it is German. It has great pictures to help you but saddly is useless as it should be sold to people who read German. Very Disappointing.
