It successfully allowed me to connect to all modules in my 318i 2005 BMW, including DME, EGS, ABS, PDC, among others. I used my Lenovo X1 Carbon with Windows 11 Pro. The cable's materials are high grade, high quality, and seem durable. You'll need proper advice to be able to connect it well, but it is possible to do it. A word of advice: move the switch to the opposite side if you are having connectivity problems.

update. I had a rough start with my experience dealing with AntiBreak.I ordered this cable to work on my sisters car and time was important so here comes the irony they sent a replacement time piece for a grandfather clock. I was upset and made a return thinking that would be the end of it to my surprise CoCo contacted me and offered a replacement cable free of charge for the inconvenience but had noticed the mini cooper i was needing it for required an ENET cable for INPA to work and sent that as well. I was amazed at the follow through and concern CoCo projected in my hunt for a cable to unlock better options for fixing the car. to be honest the cables were perfect especially the ENet cable down to the terminating resistor and added fix for voltage timeouts but the software patches for the DcAN cable were a little challenging for an old domestic mechanic like me learning both elevated computer and euro auto logic at the same time opps some German too. i was able to reset the adaptions on the 6 speed and it took a bit got my sisters car in a learn mode completing the shift adaption and it finally threw a code a can fix now. Minis are expensive to fix and now have a repair path i would not have been able to find with out CoCo and the staff at AntiBreak. FarFagnugan Yall

The cable has a switch, but no mention in any documentation about function. I think I figured it out from searching BMW forums. Four-position switch, but only two functions. Nice.The other thing is the crap version of the BMW tools. It really, really prefers Windows XP. I got the peripheral software to install after running in compatibility mode as administrator. But the INPA section of the software would not install. Windows 10 kept insisting there was a virus or unwanted software contained in the program. After disabling antivirus software and trying 5 or 6 times I gave up and went to other sources for the software. Wasted a couple hours dicking around with this.Cable seems of decent quality. Had to screw around a fair amount to find the Windows 10 drivers, but was eventually able to find them.In short, look elsewhere. I'm not impressed.

This thing has function and performance that isn't available in MOST OBD2 device's.fun stuff.

...you probably want to either invest the time to read and understand how this works with the ISTA/INPA and associated software or take your car to someone who does know how it all works, otherwise you are in for a whole lot of frustration.There are multiple sources to get clean copies of the software packages and I recommend going that route unless you have a low bandwidth Internet connection - these are large packages. Once I had the software downloaded and installed on the laptop that I use for auto maintenance I was able to run ISTA+, ISTA /P, and INPA with no problems beyond the steep learning curve for each of the packages.The K-DCAN interface cable worked flawlessly. The only minor niggle that I have is that the OBD connector is a bit loose on the car interface socket because of the additional weight carried in the connector. As long as your mindful of that it works a treat and will take you miles beyond standalone scan tools - at least the ones that don't cost 4 figures.
