While the bulb functions well and runs cool, do not expect it to be as bright as the 100W halogen version it is supposed to replace. Also beware of the diameter of the bulb body because it is much larger that the R7S style bulb, and many fixtures are not designed to accommodate the larger body. I used one of these in a bathroom wall fixture, and had to remove the piece of glass that was used as a heat shield (which was easy), but I used the other in a portable work light that had to be, shall we say, "more creatively modified" to accept the larger diameter. Make sure you check this before purchasing.

The light is bright and white but it flashes and strobes which is not good. Don’t know why. I even tried another bulb and did the same thing

I'm guessing this is about 3500K. Be aware that bulb is much wider than a standard halogen. For that reason, I was unable to fit it into one overhead lamp and had to adjust a wall lamp to get it to fit. The flickering issue, noted in another review, is common to all LED lights and has to do with one's switches. LEDs will light up/flicker even with minimal current, so dimmable switches need to be set specifically for LEDs. I opted instead for the simpler option of replacing my switch with a simple on/off light switch, rather than go through the hassle of purchasing more expensive dimmable and wattage adjustable light switches.

Had old halogen bulbs that needed to be replaced. Decided not to use halogens again and found these LED bulbs. They fit exactly (be sure to measure the old halogen as there are 2 lengths for the LEDs). The light they provide is as bright as the original halogens and at a much lower electrical usage rate. I like these bulbs because the LEDs go all the way around the bulb.We have some halogens on our barn spotlights and we'll be replacing those with the longer version of these LEDs in the Spring.

Disappointment.Purchased these bulbs for our standing lamp, which is mainly used as decoration. We used the bulb for no longer than 12 hours and the lamp has been turned off since.A couple months passed by— we have turned on the lamp again and the bulb started to flicker. We have ignored the flickering and went out for a 10 minutes walk. We returned the house and smelled something burnt.This bulb is just defective and not working!!!

I installed these a little over two months ago in our bathroom fixtures. They provide bright, clean daylight color, and use a fraction of the power. We went from using 200w with the old standard bulbs to only 12w with the new ones. Absolutely recommend!

Only one of the two bulbs worked. Disappointing. I would give it zero stars if I could.

THESE WORKED GREAT AND WERE A GREAT REPLACEMENT FOR MY 150 WATT HALLOGENS, THEY FIT EASILY IN THE FIXTURES I HAVE WITH ZERO MODS. THEY ALSO RUN MUCH COOLER SO I KNOW THEY WILL BE CHEAPER TO OPERATE.
