Klein Tools 11055EP Wire Cutter and Stripper, Made in USA, Stranded and Solid Wire Cutter, Cuts Copper

I am a "Saturday Afternoon" electrician, so I am not a professional and do not use these every day. However I do like good quality tools, and have long since convinced myself that spending a couple extra bucks for good tools is cheaper in the long run. I have used these for a couple projects, and so far, so good. === The Good Stuff === * They strip wire. I really only use 12 and 14 gauge NM, and these work great. * The handles are secure and don't slide off. The tool feels secure in my hand, and is about the right length and width to grip easily and line up with work. * The locking tab comes in handy for the toolbox. Less space, and less chance of getting wrapped up with the other tools. * After some use, the tool is still as tight and aligned as it was when I purchased it. But I do not use the cutter, so that may cut down on the wear and tear. === The Not-So-Good Stuff === * My eyes aren't what they used to be, and it is a bit tough to read the gauge markings on the tool. I am sure if I used it more often, I would be so used to tool that muscle memory would guide me to the right slot. I did put a small dot of orange paint next to the 14ga slot, and that has helped. * I would have preferred more friction in the lock clip. It has a tendency to slide into the lock position, usually at the worst possible time. I have considered removing it from the tool, but haven't as yet. === Summary === A comfortable and easy-to-use tool. It took me a long time to get used to using wire-strippers, I always just used wire cutters. But after a few nicked wires, I learned my lesson, and these are about the best pair I ever owned.

You can never go wrong with Klein! They work exactly as intended. I trust the insulation working on live wiring. They are nice and sharp. I wouldn't use any other brand!

This is a quality tool. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of more expensive, complicated wire strippers but I'm not a professional electrician so I won't be stripping hundreds of wires. I like the quality of the item, it is sturdy and very well finished. The curved handles also are a great feature. This item just fits your hand very well and is a joy to use. I have several cheap wire strippers and they dull quickly, aren't robust so the cutting blades don't line up very well. I have other Klein tools and they are all first class.

3rd pair. Others still are good but I like getting fresh ones every year or so..incase I misplace and just have back ups..I use probably 10-20 times a week in maintenance. Good go to cutters..strip well.no issues so I will continue to buy these. I have the bigger klien strippers for doing 10 gauge wire as these can strip and cut it but hard to twist your heavier gauge with these. All around great stripper and cutter.. if you damage them it's because your rushing or if you cut a live wire these or most any other strippers could get damaged. Use them correctly and they will last like any other tool

Ive seen a number of different strippers in my days and theres no stripper quite like this stripper. I need a lot of strippers. Different strippers for different occasions. Sometimes, depending on where im going, i bring fancy strippers. Or, in some situations, its best to have dirty strippers so that the fancy ones stay looking nice. These strippers are the best all around strippers for just about any occasion. I would say confidently that if i had to choose one stripper as my only stripper for ever, this stripper would be the one. These are safe too. This stripper actualy saved my life. I was in a rental property and the owner was stealing electricity from the grid, and i cut into a live unfused mains line. But thanks to this fine stripper, there were sparks flying that i still tell the story of today.

Hasta el momento no me ha decepcionado en lo más mínimo, a pesar de que sea unos de los modelos de pelacables más básico con el que cuenta la marca (Klein tools), es excelente y eficaz al momento de realizar actividades en las que se requiere pelar un cable o incluso cortando otras cosas cómo tornillos o otros tipos de cables como el UTP. Este modelo cuenta con un mango que brilla en la oscuridad para una mayor visibilidad, realmente un capricho porque podría estar agusto con el modelo que no brilla, pero si ya vas a comprar algo que vas a usar casi diariamente, que por lo menos tenga mucho estilo. Sin duda espectacular herramienta.
