We have an artificial tree which already has lights and doesn't have a plug at the top. Since this is battery-powered I didn't need a plug. It is pretty and light enough to easily sit on the tree but the battery box adds weight and is too heavy to just sit it in the tree. My son zip-tied the cord and battery box to the tree and that worked really well. We'll be able to access it to change the batteries as needed and can take the star off and tuck it into the tree for storage.There are multiple light colors and they flash in a variety of patterns. It's pretty but you can't adjust the speed of the patterns. It might have been nice to slow it down a little, but overall it added a nice look to the tree.

Some of the light patterns are good while some are just obnoxious. Wish there were a way to stop it on one light pattern or just have it lit up without changing lights. It cycles through light patterns and it flashes a lot and is super bright. I just ended up leaving it turned off. IT would distract us in the other room while watching TV.

Crazyfire is right!! This star is super bright!! Like too bright!! Inside it hurts your eyes to look at. So bright it creates an almost strobe light effect off the ceiling and walls around it. Too much for our indoor tree. Would be perfect for an outdoor tree. I got a new star and use this star as a large ornament.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  it's conviniently battery operated and the kids love it. The plastic feels some what cheap, so if you drop it it will probably crack or break, but you can't beat the price.

Stopped working after 2days on the tree, all the lights accept the green ones went out. I replaced it with a different star.

This is awesome Christmas LED Star tree topper. It's nice and bright on my Christmas Tree this year. It's was a lot better and brighter then the star we had last year. It was easy to install and take off.

Lasted only one Christmas season. Put it in the tree this year and only the green lights work. Disappointing!

Goes through batteries pretty quickly, so rechargeable batteries are highly recommended. It is pretty heavy. It keeps tipping over on top of our artificial tree. We solved the problem by adding a chopstick to the tree top to support it.
