The Good: Easy to manipulate, no sharp points when closed, and cuts slack rope like snapping a green bean. Perfect and safe for cut and restored rope routines (magic). Price is cheaper than most office type scissors. The Bad: It doesn't massage my hands while utilization and does not whistle a jaunty tune. Overall: Extremely happy with product. I RARELY give 5 star reviews (go check out my profile and see), but these scissors are perfect for one of my magic routines. In the past, I had used office/house scissors which took several attempts to cut rope even when held taut. I bought an expensive pair of fabric scissors but those blades were vorpal and I cut myself just by handling the blades (no way I would allow a spectator to use them). These scissors have a 'blunted' point and a small cutting area which makes them the most effective and safest pair to use. As a bonus the handles are wide ovals which will make a secondary effect of tossing the scissors at the rope to link it a breeze. I'm not using them for leather or any of the other possibilities, but I can honestly say for me these are awesome. I will order another pair as a backup. *****

These scissors are grea. They cut all thicknesses of leather well and are sharp. I would buy them again.

These work really well. Cut thick leather.

These are great for cutting leather better than regular standard scissors, however I have pinched my hands several times and they have gone dull really fast. Not good for use trying to do small shape cuts. Excellent for cutting long strips if you need to. Definitely wish I had something better for small cuts on thick leather. Overall good product that I will continue to use. They work excellent on soft suede but thicker firm veg tan type leather can be almost impossible to cut through and puts a lot of pressure on your hand.

I have had this same pair of scissors for 6 years and they are showing no signs of wear or getting dull. I use them to cut leather, thick fabrics, and any job that needs a heavy duty pair of scissors. I will buy them again for sure!

Good strong scissors. Cut through various thicknesses of leather with ease. Nice ergonomic handle. Used regularly for a few months and still good and sharp

I mainly bought these to trim out thinner pieces in a rough shape before I cut them precisely. They seem to be pretty good at cutting curves, and you can use them on pretty thick leather (7+ ounces). It will take more effort of course, but through thinner leather (3-4 ounce) it feels like cutting through cardboard.
