Best Flush Valve
I have two Kohler Highline toilets, both bought around the same time, where one came with the older style 2" flapper flush valve, and the other a 3" canister one. The canister works so much better that I'd tried to find one for a 2" toilet several times but couldn't. In need of replacing the fill valve, I decided to search again for a 2" canister flush, and to my surprise found one. Having just installed the Kohler fill and flush valves, they work great. What I like about the canisters, is the simple design and no more replacing leaky flappers.

The price was right. Local stores couldn't get it for a month. And you only have to remove the toilet tank if the seal or lower portion is broken. In my case the old top part popped out with a twist, and the new part went right in and worked perfectly. It isn't the sturdiest piece, but it flushes really well.

Great price for 3 complete sets
So…. I technically ordered the wrong assy. But every part I needed was exactly correct. We have 3 Kohler Memoirs toilets, all 12 yrs old, and the flush valve on one was seeping.I purchased just the silicone seal, and filler riser at Home Depot and spent about $20.Really easy to service, so I ordered this kit which included 2 complete sets. BUT, it’s for a 2” throat toilet. Even so, I didn’t need to replace the flange that goes through the porcelain tank base. And everything else was a direct replacement. Very happy to have saving a bit of money, and replaced everything that makes up the flush valve..:

Worked perfect in ours
Was told by plumber I would never find parts to fit except direct from Kholer. Quoted large price. This was inexpensive and I was able to install by myself.

Works with Kohler just like it should
Our house has Kohler toilets. Kohler is a bit different sized then most toilets. the tank bowl gasket is a bit larger in Kohler then most other MFG's so it is best to get Kohler parts for repair, I have tried fluid master parts in the past but due to slightly smaller gasket size a leak developed. We ordered this, install was pretty straight forward and when complete it worked just like it should and no leaks or issues since we installed it.

Getting the right part
I wasn't sure if it was the right part, but this was a direct fit for my Kohler toilet. I had no idea what the original part number was, as it was not on the part I removed. (However, after I finished the installation, I found that the part number was listed on the BOTTOM side of the TANK LID.) To order, I just looked at the part I removed and matched it to the closest picture on Amazon. Fortunately it worked. Originally, I tried using the numbers stamped in the tank to order the flush valve, but some numbers were faded and illegible. Besides, they weren't the correct numbers anyway. After a quick tutorial on You Tube, I was able to replace the flush valve. It DOES require removal of the tank from the toilet. However, it only required the removal of two nuts (with washers) and disconnecting (unscrewing) the water to the tank. It's pretty straight forward and I'm sure the average person can do it. The only advice I can give is to have a very large pair of slip pliers, or use a plier type oil wrench (as I did) to get the very large plastic nut (about 3 inches in diameter) off the bottom of the tank to remove the flush valve. You'll understand what I'm saying once you remove the tank. Good luck and it works great once it's installed!
