Dorfman Pacific DPC Outdoor Water Repellent Safari Hat

Ok. The hat arrived well packed and in wonderful shape. And fast. I really liked the look and feel. The crown is pretty stiff, which is good. Nice felt. Then I tried it on a it fell to the bottom of my ears. I ordered the medium as I wear a 56-57cm (7-7 1/8} and the tag in the hat said medium. According to the Dorfman size chart that should be right. Well it's not.I was getting ready to send it back when my son came in and asked what I was doing. Told him and he said "Bummer. I wouldn't mind a hat like that." He wears a 59-60 (still has his hair. lol.} and it was a tad big for him. I put a couple sizers in and it him perfect. So he got a new hat and I didn't have the hassle of sending it back.The only con is that the sizing is WAY OFF.

Sizes run large on this item ended up ordering it 3 times and settled for a medium and I thought I had a large head. I tried a wool version on made by the same company in a local store and the sizing was not the same. Happy with the quality of the product.

This hat is for my spouse who has been needing another hat. And this hat is exactly what was needed and wanted. This hat could be worn to a wedding or any other gathering.

This is a well made hat as all of my DP hats have been. However, when I received it, it had been shipped in an envelope, rather than a box and was crushed flat. I had to steam it to reshape it and it could still use some more work. This hat also ran slightly large so I had to use hat sizers to make it fit. I still like this hat and do not plan to return it.I would, however, recommend the company pack their hats in cardboard boxes to keep them from being smashed during shipping.

My third DP hat. To replace a lost one. My constant companion and well used over the years so of good quality and hard wearing. Easy to clean sweat off with a wet brush and comes up looking good. Cant recommend these enough. Would benefit from a lanyard but a long bootlace does the job.

I specifically ordered this hat for my husband because the reviews said that the fit is big and my husband struggles to find hats large enough so we felt that this hat would be ideal and indeed, it fits well and he's delighted with it. It arrived in pristine condition (we had been rather wary about this having read previous reviews). He finds the hat ideal for gardening because it gives good protection from the sun, not only on his scalp but it also gives shade to his neck and eyes.

This is a very well made hat,it is light enough for summer use but sturdy enough to wear all year round.It is also a good looking hat and even my greatest hat criticthinks so(and coming from her this is high praise indeed).The size is absolutely spot on and no padding adjustments are necessary. The delivery was ahead of schedule and well ahead of my expectations.All in all one of lifes better buys.

This hat is good quality for the price and I will buy another. It's sizing is incorrect. My noggin is measured at 7 7/8" ... I purchased an XL which per sizing chart fits a 7 5/8" at max ... and my hat fits loose but acceptable. Depending if you are at bottom or top of size scale ... I recommend you order 1 to 2 sizes smaller. No hat shape protection is provided by Amazon in shipping ... my hat was scrunched with creases ... expect to steam and iron to perfection.

It's a good looking hat and can be worn in two or more 'styles'. Just what I wanted.
