is the hook/plastic fire resistant?

No they will melt or burn if exposed to fire, however I have installed some near (but NOT directly above) my stove for hanging measuring spoons and oven mitts and they are fine. I also use them in the shower for hanging body pouff, and so far the heat and steam from the shower has not affected them.

Grab the tiny little tongue and pull "DOWN". If you do it right, your index finger knuckle should scrape the wall slightly as you pull it ALL THE WAY DOWN!! As you pull down, the white plastic stretches, slowly separating from the wall, and eventually - POOP! It's off! :D

Does this kit contain hooks that can hang a light weight decorative mosquito net from the ceiling?

For Best results the command hooks should be hung on walls and with constant movement and light tugging I would not recommend.
