Quick Hood Loops Trunk Anchor Kayak Tie Downs Straps Bow Stern Canoe Transport Secure Lashing Point

One of those ingenious inventions that is simple, inexpensive, and works perfectly for what it's intended to do. Works fine front and back to keep my kayak secured on my car roof rack.

These hood loops are exactly what we needed to help tie down our kayaks to our roof rack. The quality is excellent, and they're so easy to use. These were also a fraction of the price of other brands. Another nice thing is that they will fit any vehicle. You just open the hood (and/or your trunk, as needed), place these near the cab of the vehicle with the nylon loop sticking out, and close the hood. Presto! You now have a place to secure your tie down strap or rope to your vehicle. We only needed 2 since we already had a way to secure the tie down straps to the back of our vehicle, but's it's really nice to get 4 in the order in case we need to lend a couple to a friend, etc. The loops seem to be very strong. It's great to feel confident that our kayaks are safely secured to our vehicle. I fully expect we will get years of service from these helpful hood loops.

Small, but work fine and easily stores, haven't ripped yet. Plastic protects the car a bit. Does the job. Not sure it's worth the price. It's one of those things that's so simple you wonder if you could've just made something yourself out of scrap parts, but at least it's made of plastic so it doesn't scratch up your car as badly as wood or whatever. Could definitely be cheaper considering why they are.

Because newer vehicles have fewer places to attach hook to secure tie downs this item is a "must have" for me. This order is the second time I have purchase these items and they work great for securing my kayaks to my vehicle. I have been using them, under the hood, on the front (under the hood), but with my new vehicle I'll be using these under the rear hatch door as well. They are very strong and stay secure. Again, a "must have" for me.

These look good and will work well for anchoring a Kayak on my car roof along with the cam straps.

I kayak often and have both a basic sit on top and a long 12ft sea kayak. It was super easy to put these under my hood and find a solid place to put them. I drive a subaru forester. I have used these for trips up to 6 hours and these have not caused any damage to the paint of my car. They also did not move or shift during the trip going 70mph the majority of the time. I would definitely recommend if you dont have any solid tie down points.

My cars do not have good points in the front or rear for tie down straps. These work great tucked in the hood and trunk. I've used them on a Dodge Caravan and a Nissan Altima with no issues.

These are brilliant. Such a simple idea and perform the job perfectly, giving me two solid tie-down points for a kayak. Means I don't have to mess about screwing the towing eyes in to the bumper sockets just to have a kayak on the roof. Excellent.
