This is almost the best cockatiel/small bird food there is. The only thing better is their veterinarian stuff, which is next to impossible to get unless there is an avian vet near you. I used to write for pet magazines and the premier avian vet I interviewed in the Bay Area told me that most bird food is a crime. Feeding your little (or big) bird a seed diet is the same as us trying to thrive on a diet of French fries. My own little cockatiel, who is an amputee, is now 20'years old and this is what he eats, supplemented with eggshells and dark green lettuces and sometimes a little cottage cheese or scrambled egg. I also give him a few Walnut pieces. I spray his feathers every day with a water mist, too, as instructed by that vet. It keeps with feathers healthy and makes them able to keep him warm. Anyway. This is good stuff and a package lasts almost a week. Birds need protein. It's much cheaper to buy it from Amazon. At petsmart and petco it costs between almost 8 dollars to 9.39 a package. And when you get it from Amazon, it's fresh. If it's dried out and crunchy, it's been hanging around too long. They also make a version for larger birds, if you're interested.

My avian vet recommended this brand to me and my budgies go crazy for it. It's the best bird food on the market and buying it from Amazon is cheaper, fresher, and a better value than buying it from a local pet store. Pet stores tend to upcharge Lafeber's food and it's usually stale and crunchy and lost some of its nutritional value. This is the best buy for your money and my birds, who are picky eaters, really love it.

The price of the product is getting too expensive. The quality is an A+. My cockatiel birds go crazy when I give them this food. They love the texture.

My bird loves these little cakes! They are easy to break off for consistent measuring. You can put it in the bowl whole to let them have the exercise and fun of picking it apart or you can crumble it to various sizes. I really like it as a short vacation food supplement to leave the bird with plenty of extra food that she doesn’t immediately throw to the bottom. Once she started eating it she seemed to want it on a regular basis! Birds do like a variety and you must make sure they get all of their nutrients so do your research. I recommend combining different types of food. She also enjoys that. She appears to get excited when she sees that she is getting these so I keep buying it.

My birds are very picky and don't like to eat much in the way of healthy Things but they do like treats. So when you break them off a hunk of this stuff they think they're getting something special and gobble it down.They seem to really like the flavor of the original version but not so much the tropical flavor. Either way, if he gets them to eat something that's good for them I'm happy.
