The noodles in this ramen make it worth it.

I grew up on korean ramen so this ramen was a refreshing change. For starters, it is not spicy like most of the korean ramen I'm used to. The dry seasoning looks similar to the ones from other instant ramen noodles but the liquid seasoning is where it's at. The liquid seasoning does add a lot of the sesame oil flavor that blends nicely with the salty, savory flavor. The noodles also have a pleasant chewiness to it, like al dente pasta. I like to add eggs and vegetables to my noodles but I personally did not like them with this ramen. It gets a bit too overwhelming because the seasoning is very flavorful. If you do put veggies in this one, I would stick with veggies with milder flavor. Overall, I would recommend this if you have a little more to spend on your instant ramen and want to try something new. I do have to warn you though that the amount of sodium in ONE pack exceeds the recommended amount of daily sodium intake. Kind of expected but still good to be aware.

This ramen is delicious if you don't use the liquid base in it. Some people may like it but I thought the smell of the liquid base was horrible and near vomit inducing. I tried it anyway because I made the darn thing. The taste wasn't as bad as the smell but the liquid base made it too oily for my taste. My boyfriend who will eat pretty much anything (even a Cheeze It he found laying on the ground in a parking lot) wouldn't try it because of the smell alone. I tried it again later without the liquid base and it was amazing. The noodles are so much better than the noodles you get in Top Ramen or Maruchan. The powder soup base flavor is great. I used a little less water so I could get a really salty taste. I will definitely buy this again.Pros - Amazing noodles and powder base.Cons - Liquid base smells HORRENDOUS (gag) and makes the soup to oily.

The noodles are the right amount of chewy and the broth doesn't lack in flavor. Once you add the secondary soy sauce packet to the broth it kind of kills the fishy smell of the broth and adds a different layer of flavor to the soup.I recommend adding sriracha to it if you have it with out any meat or egg. I would imagine Tofu would be pretty good as well. Im giving it a 3 for the following reasons. 1. The smell of the base broth packet is not great and a little gross but it doesn't taste bad. 2nd "Oriental flavor" is kind of deceiving and if you don't read the ingredients on the back you wouldn't know there is fish in it. For some people if they're allergic this could be a problem. Finally the flavor of the soup is kind of confusing in the sense of Im not sure what they were trying to achieve. I personally was expecting more of a soy sauce type of flavor and if you dont add some spice to it or egg it taste like its lacking something. I hear alot of good things about this company and overall I liked it but I didnt love it. I think they should improve on this one some more.

I'm not a ramen connoisseur or anything but this is definitely tastier than the more inexpensive ones I've bought from the grocery store. I can't say that it's necessarily worth paying a few times as much for but I have re-ordered... Smile.Comes with a wet flavor packet and a dry one. I use little of both because of the MSG. Overall the texture and sticky noodle are just all around tastier. I'm always looking to try different instant ramen and these did not disappoint! It's often a difficult effort to find good instant ramen and most of the time you're going to come up disappointed. Not this time. The noodles stay firm in the broth and are of high quality. I've seen some comments on the broth being fishy, but I love that about it. It's not hugely fishy, it's more of a subtle almost smoked fish flavor. I didn't consider it fishy until I saw some reviews saying so. I'll be ordering this again for sure.

I've been eating this ramen for years because of the high quality noodles and tasty, traditional soup base. It doesn't taste deep-fried like most other ramen. I've tried all the other flavors of this ramen and I like the "Oriental" the best because it complements pretty much anything you want to add to it.The amount of noodles is pretty small so when I want to turn it into a hearty meal, I add cuttlefish balls, shrimp balls, and/or pork dumplings. I will sometimes scramble an egg and drop it in the soup while it's cooking to create an "egg-drop soup". To top it off, I sprinkle some  Nanami Togarashi  for extra spiciness and seasoning.If you are looking for a large bowl to serve it up in, try the  Dansk Christianshavn Blue Large Serving Bowl .

I visited San Diego a couple of years ago and eat at a ramen bar. The flavor i got was salt. It was so good! I was hoping to find an instant ramen pack the had the same taste. I expected the taste to not be as good as a freshly made bowel of ramen but i did expect the flavor to be similar. Sadly the flavor was not close to the same thing. However, the flavor was very good and i greatly enjoyed it. The noodles are a much better quality then the ramen that is so easily found in the states.I give this product 5 stars because the flavor (while not resembling what a was looking for) is very good and the noodles are a decent quality. I will be ordering more.
