Q: Can this keyboard be used on my smart TV?

If your TV supports either a Bluetooth or USB keyboard, then yes! It will likely default to using the "PC" format when you select the smart TV channel.If you are using the included Unifying receiver for your PC and your smart TV does not support a Bluetooth keyboard, you'll need to purchase a second Unifying receiver and set it up using the Logitech PC/Mac drivers. If you're using Linux, the alternative to Logitech drivers is called Solaar. (I use two Unifying receivers and one Bluetooth on mine.)

Q: Will a Microsoft Surface fit in the slot and not tip the keyboard over?

Yes it fits and the base is heavy enough to not to tip. In fact I use it like that daily. I have the keyboard hooked up to my desktop, iPhone and surface as my 3 connections

This is a very nice keyboard that works based on bluetooth connection. You can use it many devices. You can set up to 3 different devices. It types very nicely. The sensitivity of the keys are precise. I am enjoying this keyboard everyday

Simply The Best

I have used this keyboard for many years now and it is by far the best keyboard I've ever used. It's so good it makes using other keyboards more difficult as they're just not as smooth and effortless as this one.
