Small Tach to Fit in Nook or Cranny in Existing Dash
Bought for my husband with his knowledge (not a gift), so his review follows. Great little tach for my purpose - fitting it into a 79 Nova instrument cluster where the clock used to reside. It does not look professional, but does what I wanted (tach reading). Had to use a hacksaw and cut the unit just below the chrome bezel to get the unit out. It was a tad too big for a 2" hole, so had to use a dremel tool and come in from the back to reshape the plastic instrument cluster and the remaining tach housing. Then epoxied the plastic housing in place. It's an obvious add on (does not fit exactly to the center of the overall hole) but is good for my purposes and avoided the expensive upgrade to a plastic dash and 6 instrument cluster as you would see in Hot Rod magazine. Getting old and eyesight is an issue at night, so got with Whilegauges.net and got white backgrounds for the 79 Nova. Now have gauges with a tach I can use! And tach works fine even after all the careful sawing, etc. It has the tach face close to the bezel and then a circuit card at the back of the "cup." Would have sawed about an inch from the chrome bezel if I'd have known, but all came out well. And the unit saved me big money on an overdrive transmission upgrade - little over 2K RPMs at 60 in stock 79 chevy nova 305 ci with TH350. I'm going down route 66 here in OK instead of wrenching on the car!

Worked fine. Great installation instructions
Worked fine. Great installation instructions. Did an in dash mount and the bezel on the front is larger than the tach body so very easy to install it that way. Installed on an old F-250 with the 390 so not turning any high revs. Also all the items you need to install it are including: cable crimps and splitters and a steering column mounting bracket.

Small but sweet
I purchased this because I didn’t want a huge Ugly tach strapped to my steering column. This fit the bill perfectly. Seems to be accurate and work perfect for my application on a 74 K20. Insulation was super easy. Comes with plenty of wire for most applications.

Great looking
The media could not be loaded. Works great for the price and fit. Didnt want a big ol tach, just something simple to keep tabs, worked out perfectly.

I love this tachometer!
This is a great little tach! I bought this for my 1984 Jeep CJ7. I needed one that would fit on the steering column which is a limited space. Tears mount is made ready for a hose clamp installation for this purpose. Wiring was straight forward. I am running a MSD 6AL ignition control with a probillet distributor. The 6AL has a blade port to plug the tach wire right in. Even though the tach is small it is easy to read. It is lit well enough to read easily in the dark. I highly recommend it!

It's Cheap. It Works.
Open boxed item sold as new, in my case. It is cheap cheap cheap. However, it's cheap cheap cheap. It works. It's a long cry from a performance type tach, but for my application (carb and advance tuning for an old CJ7), it was all I needed.

Worked well on LT1
I have an Chevy LT1 in my CJ7, and wanted a tach. For $10, this cannot be beat! Works well, looks cool on column, but its a CJ7, so it will never get close to red line. Easy to install, but had to get an oscilloscope to find right wire from painless harness/ECM.
